ETAPE/STEP 12/3

The answer could be : the blogger in the hall with a shoehorn!
as I got a little off the topic, but before books could find their readers, the information circulated with images.
no the answer is.... the stitcher with the scissors in the library!

Bienvenue à  / Welcome to       EPINAL

well known for  " L'imagerie d'Epinal "

Epinal prints were prints on popular subjects rendered in bright sharp colours, sold in France in the 19th century. They own their name to the fact that the first publisher of such images, Jean-Charles Pellerin, having been born in Epinal, named the printing house he founded in 1796 "IMAGERIE D'EPINAL";

The expression "image d'Epinal" has become proverbial in French and refers to an emphatically traditionalist and naive depiction of something, showing only its good aspects.

Quelques célèbres devinettes d'Epinal.

To whom Charlot says hello?

My client disappeared. Do you see him?

John lost the house key! Where is it?

Kids come back home, I can see the hunter

Where are my two guests?

THEME-TAS-STITCH 05/17

Theme-tas-stitch is an event organized by Kerry

Monochrome May

Choose a colour and stitch on your projects that contain that one colour.

May I introduce you my choice for this theme-tas-stitch update :  B5200 DMC.

Like lily of the valley, this past month, the main colour of my projects was white.

you can found in...
,

Tra la la

I finished all the white stitches

a white collar rabbit with blue eyes

mon lapin a recouvré la vue
et enfilé un joli col blanc

Patins d'argent

I already have stitched a lot of white and the update looks like a green update, no, no,

a challenge remains a challenge
there are three woolen hats for the birds and three pompoms... so

I added 3 x 4  stitches in white. That's a deal!

Theme-tas-stitch
An occasion to let come out of the basket, "dentelles"  "lace"
the pattern of the last rank was not a good choice,
so some frogging of white B5200.

A new mysterious start

A new goose in the goose game

To finish this theme-tas-stitch post, the big smile of my ghost

Mon gentil fantôme a un bien large sourire maintenant.

Smile and stitch!    Souriez et brodez !

Ce dessin a été fortement
inspiré par le timbre paru en 2001

This drawing was inspired
by this stamp printed in 2001.

Carson, a fresh drink would be appreciated

That's what I call a terrace!

Since 1987, the castle welcomes in summer "les fêtes nocturnes" "night's festivities".
2017 theme will be  "Lorenzaccio" from Alfred de Musset

What about books in sculpture?

ETAPE/STEP 11/2

We are looking for an author house.

As you can see, my planning has moved, for this step, departure was last week on Wednesday and next post will be on Sunday for the arrival.
One more clue, I posted on this place in 2015 as we visited it during holidays.

GIFTED GORGEOUSNESS 05/17

It's Gifted Gorgeousness, hosted by Jo of Serendipitous Stitching, it's the moment to show all you have stitched using fabric or threads that has been gifted to you or some piece you're planning to offer.

Here,  you'll find Jo post and links to other stitchers

http://serendipitousstitching.blogspot.fr/2017/05/gifted-gorgeousness-may-link-up-post.html

Some news of my project started for the Easter Blog Hop

It was time to put a little rabbit in that egg cup.

I was so focused on counting 5 ranks of his face

It put the pattern beside me and
then stitched the ears.

Then taking back the pattern realized
I totallly forgot the place of eyes/nose! Stupid me!

Of course, this rabbit could show his back
which means he is able to turn his ears 90°.

I thought he could wear sun glasses too.

Ce brave lapin avait perdu la face,
momentanément,
il va recouvrer la vue prochainement.

Then I frogged it to get it right!

Never cause anyone to lose face!

Some update for Village Quaker, I like it so much!

Good progress on Mona Lisa

The idea is a gift from Jo (post of January 2016), with a link to the free pattern of Mr X Stitch.

When she saw it, DD2 proposed I should stitch it again 4 times in colors like Andy Warhol pictures.
"I'll first be happy to finish this one", was my answer!

Mona is trying to decide between many candidates for a romantic ride on a gondola!
