FIFA WORLD CUP STITCHING WITH MELISSA

Melissa from Measi.net is holding a special event for the FIFA World Cup.

From June 11th to July 19th.

I use to participate to her Wipolympics challenges during Summer and Winter Olympic Games and I love it very much.

So can't miss this opportunity, I like football games but to be fully honest less than years ago. Attitudes and atmosphere had changed mostly with money. But I don't want to sound "it was better before" so ready for the game.

I have given a call to my journalists friends who usually hosted the TV show for the OG : Nelson and Gérard.

Measi introduction:

FIFA World Cup Stitching: A completely new challenge for 2026! In lieu of our normal June and July focus months, we will be holding a challenge from the beginning of the World Cup group matches on Thursday, June 11th through the final on Sunday, July 19th. For each day in the World Cup, there will be three match challenges (you set the time according to your personal schedule – or stitch during your local match broadcasts). Each match will consist of two 45 minute sprints and a 15 minute halftime break, per standard soccer/football rules. Stoppage, extra time, and penalty shootouts are yours to do with as you choose. Your challenge is to progress in your project of choice during each match as far as you can. You may work on a different project for each match, but may not switch projects within a single match. Whether you count stitches or not is up to you. Note: Melissa is going to attempt to do some scheduled sprints via YouTube during these days.

First let me introduce you to the mascots : Maple, Zayu and Clutch.

104 matches, 48 countries

First my journalists team must organize their new office before hosting their football news program. Splitting their time between Canada and U.S.A.

Nelson:
Hi Gérard! Are you ready to watch our first match on June 16th?

Gérard:
Of course Nelson, France / Senegal will be a very interessant game!
Then on June 22th  France/Irak  and  on June 26th  Norvège/France.

Nelson:
I hope the time difference won't be too difficult for our French tv spectators. Do you know what is planning our friend Jocondine during this competition?

Gérard:
Probably no "live" works due this time issue and I heard that she's planning some holidays too. But no doubt it will bring her new goals!
She already told me that she'll give to each mascot a project to follow.

and my team's supporters told me that it would be a great opportunity to spend some times in Mexico.

As you can see, they already adopted local outfits.

See you later, probably at the end of next week.

And don't forget there is a "Tour de France" running on this blog!

On the previous post, the 4th stage. I'm waiting for your guess to find a new town to visit.

FULLY FINISHED GALLERY SAL 06/26

It's the 10th of this month and Rachel from "Ten Hour Stitcher"
used to welcome us and our Fully Finished achievements.

Her blog is on pause but I want to keep this event as a special day welcoming my fully finished projects.

Miguel the Cameleon is a kit from Filantrope broderies, they have quite a collection of outfits and I have chosen girafe.

After a bad start during the Olympics, mixing colors, I took another fabric and here it is. I didn't like the thread at all, very tight I found difficult to work with.

There is a tiny swaroski crystal for the eye.

ETAPE / STAGE 3/3

Département  23  Creuse

New department visited!

The town name is :       Châtelus Malvaleix

Rappel des indices / Some explanations about the clues

1/  I chose the place to visit a new department 23     (the penultimate Tuesday on June calendar in the 23th).
It's a small village known because it's where a very popular French actress has a country house. Her name is Anny Duperey, she is known as an theater actress, TV, movie artist but also as a photographer and a writer.

The TV show :  une famille formidable / a wonderful family  was broadcast from 1992 to 2018  - 15 seasons
Her character was named Catherine Beaumont
  (Beaumont street name  3-1)

She also sews and creates a lot of her play costumes.

As Anny shares lot about her garden, I have linked this stage with medieval plants and botany.

Comme Anny partage beaucoup autour de son jardin, j'ai choisi de lier cette étape aux plantes médiévales et à la botanique.
