GIFTED GORGEOUSNESS 09/26

It's always nice to make gifts, nice too to receive some
and use them in our stitching projects.

It's great and fun to show all this and the perfect place is
on Jo's blog Serendipitous Stitching on the 15th of each month
for the Gifted Gorgeousness post.
Jo gave a new turn to her blog those past months
but I'd like to keep posting about GG on the half-month day

continuer à parler cadeaux faits maison chaque mi-mois.

DD3  "30"  birthday celebration was great
on the Saturday we had an escape game on circus theme
and on the Sunday, family meal with pinata
her card was ready with a special watermelon paper for the 1st cup

My big gift this month was for my grandson Timothé
the family timeline
There will be a special post about it, too much to tell
to add it to the monthly GG

Some cross stitch : the Lady and the unicorn
mainly dark blue

Again knitting some dolls outfits

My 7th edition of the Tour de France ended last Sunday
I always see it like a gift to share with my friends
small stories with clues to guess towns
and...
a few days ago I found a video on YT about
an escape game book made by Angie
like a treasure hunt to find some missing precious stones of a crown
and it gave me the idea that I could use some of my stages
to create a book with only 5 to 8 chapters
I don't know yet if I can "built" something around these
initial ideas but I have already in mind to make a gift
to Soline as I plan to visit her next month.
It's time to seek advice from Hercule Poirot and use
"the little grey cells on which one must rely"

With my birthday cards for my grandchildren
I have started two projects
one "the layers of atmosphere" display for Capucine
(seen so many on the net thought it could be useful for her)

1 - Check for "sky like" papers
2 - Cut half circle shapes

4 - Check for a nice cardboard for the display
5 - Attach them and find a small Earth
6 - Add names, distances, temperatures

I'll add the list of the planets on the top front of the cardboard.

and a timeline for Timothé
(the line of my father family)

I'm back visiting Archives to find the Birth, Marriage, Death registers

Reading, sometimes more "deciphering", taking photos,
making files, trying to connect familie's members
I have already found eight different ways to write my name!
found lovely old first names as :  Adonis, Ambroise and Marie Pacifique!

found that the revolutionnary calendar isn't helping me at all
weeks of 10 days, months with different names

and years starting in 1792 with Year 1 to 1811
before coming back to the usual calendar

List in progress

I won't forget some stitches on my current cross stitch
The Lady and the Unicorn - The touch

I found also some fun crochetting some outfits for dolls

Five cards in June/July
For a July birthday card I'm back on my american letter box
for my friend Régis

DD1 will receive her honey pot... I had one waiting for a finish
two bees to sew (not the easiest part) and color/stick the honey
and wax.     For Marylène some tea cups full of love...

For Timothé, I have made a movie clap

I have started at the end of April the Angora blue scarf gift for DD1

Here is my update about 75 cm long.
Fifa challenge will give a boost as
the warm temperatures doesn't motivate me
to knit wool.

Felt scallops and radishes for Soline as cooking toys

My  birthday gift : Lady and the unicorn "the touch"  update

FULLY FINISHED GALLERY SAL 06/26

It's the 10th of this month and Rachel from "Ten Hour Stitcher"
used to welcome us and our Fully Finished achievements.

Her blog is on pause but I want to keep this event as a special day welcoming my fully finished projects.

Miguel the Cameleon is a kit from Filantrope broderies, they have quite a collection of outfits and I have chosen girafe.

After a bad start during the Olympics, mixing colors, I took another fabric and here it is. I didn't like the thread at all, very tight I found difficult to work with.

There is a tiny swaroski crystal for the eye.

First I thought I'll made another american box card for my DSiL3 March birthday, then I thought a more personal card would be better and a pokemon ball card would be great for this pokemon generation

Easy to make with red, black and white cardboard
And easy to reuse the Tangela character I drew for my TdF1

Keeping the same looks as he dressed up into a wool ball to look fancy.

I had a lot of fun making this flowered embroidery on Vichy fabric
and used it for a birthday card for my aunt

A new tea themed birthday card for a June birthday
Six cups will be ok for the envelop shape
glued on a purple paper leaving the top edge open
so I could slide some "tea bags" with wishes

The wool was given to me by DH who find it in his mother stash
So weird to knit as the thread has an irregular thickness
but I thought the color would pleased DD3
She asked for a sleeveless sweater

I received this picture from Soline as she played with her felt food

I am sewing clementine segments in felt and I have started
some crab claws

As it was a Christmas gift from DD3
I must add to this post my Lady and the unicorn I finished
during the Wipolympics competition
