I'm giving you my last updates about Junk Journaling on this Wednesday evening.

Scytale

I have finished my kind of "scytale", I have cut two pieces in wood for the small hangles

and roll around the strip of paper

(used as a secret message)

with J Fr Champollion name

Voici mon scytale terminé, 

une base de carton pour simuler le bâton cylindre

recouverte d'un joli papier décoré

glisser deux pièces de bois pour les poignées

enrouler la bande de papier avec le message secret

ici ce sera le nom de J Fr Champollion

En montant mes signatures, j'ai utilisé un large morceau de tartalane jaune pour réaliser deux futures pochettes à rabats. L'une servira à ranger mon scytale, simplement bordée par des rubans jaunes pâles, l'autre recueillera une bd montrée ci-après.

While assembling my signatures, I used a large piece of yellow tartan to make two future flap pouches. One will be used to store my scytale, simply edged with pale yellow ribbons; the other will hold a comic book shown below.

Quelquefois une mauvaise surprise apparaît... toute fière de mon delta du Nil récemment terminé quand j'ai rouvert mon JJ des traces roses, probablement de colle, sont apparues au travers du papier beige.

J'ai essayé de les recouvrir de couleurs et pensé même ajouter des paillettes mais à cause d'un résultat non satisfaisant il ne me restait plus qu'à tout démonter et recommencer. Donc découpe de nouveaux papiers, reprise des contours, démontage/remontage des décors en perles et surtout collage avec du scotch double face !

Now a bad surprise, when I opened my JJ I discovered those pink marks probably the glue I used was a colored one and appeared through the paper later.

I tried to color it and thought I could put some glitters on it, but it didn't work.

So only one solution, take everything apart and cut new shapes and sew again the beads and use double side tape!

I found that profil lovely and wanted to make it using black and glossy papers (some matte gold from chocolate box).

Allways start with a drawing, after assembly the pieces I chose a red kind of vegetable paper very thin for the back.

papiers noir mat et brillant, rouge brillant

et plusieurs ors (dont un récupéré dans une

boîte de chocolat).

What I love a lot in that JJ think is founding some little unexpected treasures in my boxes.

I'm trying to "clear" shelves of albums, boxes of photos, files of memories from holidays or travels

and I found a Pink Panther magazine I probably brought back from

England and guess what, one of the stories took place in Egypte.

So I cut the pages, made a small album and include it in my JJ

In the camel section I glued two lighters ads back to back

There are a lot of videos about pop up cards I wanted to try and this is the double flip card. I thought it would be a nice way to show four of my egypt tarot cards, I chose two cards with horses and two profiles.

For a first test, it's ok, need to be precise in the cutting but not too much difficult to make.

Il y a tellement de tutos de scrap que je veux tester, j'ai essayé celui de la double carte retournée, occasion rêvée pour présenter mes cartes de tarots, j'ai choisi d'associer un cheval avec un personnage de profil.

Et enfin, une croix de vie simplement découpée dans un carton doré et attachée avec un fil sur un décor de pochette de papier à lettres.

And finally, a life cross simply cut out of gold-colored cardboard and attached with a thread to a stationery-paper pocket decoration.
