COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS 3

I came back from holidays with new projects for the "not so ugly sweaters" and look at what Soline made for me...

the perfect match!  

Quelle chance, Soline m'a confectionné un super pull de Noël en perles qui va m'accompagner lorsque je fabriquerai ma nouvelle collection.

Quelques dessins préparatoires et déjà un peu de couture.

Here are some wip sketches and I also started sewing some.

I watched videos from Emily London visiting shops like Harrods, Fortnum and Mason, Liberty, Selfridges...

I love to see all the decorations they propose because we don't have so many choice here and not so many themes too. I saw a lot of food, of course London city and Royal themes and a seaside Christmas tree!

I usually pick up ideas here and there. We don't celebrate Santa's reindeers, we don't even know they names and when I saw a "Rudolph" graffiti I knew I wanted one on a sweater.

J'ai visionné plusieurs vidéos d'Emily London qui visite les grands magasins londoniens à l'occasion des fêtes et nous fait découvrir de merveilleuses décorations. De nombreux thèmes : la classique famille royale, les monuments de la capitale, la nourriture, la mer.

On another subject, we shared ideas with Soline about gnomes and I'm glad to announce my new project : the handyman gnome.

He will wear a tool belt, pockets fulls of nails and have plans, meter, lot of accessories and maybe a cap instead of the classic gnome's hat.

Un nouveau projet de gnome est arrivé lors de nos discussions avec Soline, le gnome bricoleur. Probablement vêtu d'une salopette, d'une ceinture d'outils et autres accessoires et peut-être coiffé d'une casquette à la place du bonnet classique. J'ai déjà rassemblé quelques outils sous forme de breloque, mini accessoires de poupée.

I try to make some new personalised decorations for each of my three daughters each year.

For DD2 and DD3 it's often about cats or video games.

I loved the idea of the cat in a Christmas box I saw on a tree on the Fortnum & Mason, it will be perfect for DD2 and DD3 big fans of cats.

I only have to make a small box in the glitter paper I recently bought and a small cat in felt using the pattern I drawn for another ornament with Mummy cat and kitties on a cushion.

Je suis également toujours à la recherche d'idée pour des décos personnalisées pour les filles.

Notamment, pour DD2 et DD3, sur le thème des chats.

Le petit chat dans sa boîte vu chez Fortnum & Mason sera parfait et très près de l'occupation principale de Mochi.

I also came back with a full box of sequins that my cousin gave to me, perfect to use for my project : Christmas card with a tree made with sequins and probably used them as the "coal" buttons for my snowmen.

Ma cousine m'a donné une boîte de sequins qui me seront très utiles pour la confection des cartes sapin et certainement pour les boutons en charbon sur mes bonhommes de neige.
