WIPOCALYPSE 06/26

Time to share with Melissa and the Wipocalypse family the projects we want to complete before the end of the world.

On FB or  https://measi.net/

+++  2026 is the year of  "more of" +++

Sewing / Cooking / Junk Journaling / Beads / Wool / Felt / Gardening / Writing / Scrapbooking / Cross stitching / Watercolor

More cross stitching

La dame à la licorne - le toucher

More beads

More gardening

Saving the lily of the valley sprigs!

I have now seven plants all around the trunk :
the clematis which was before on the garden arch
the two plants we brought back from Luberon (06/2025)
the two plants we bought in May (one is a passionflower)
and the two plants we brought back from Annecy (05/2024)
as the one which has suffered from the frost
start again to grow a few days ago and is now close to 1 m
I hope this last week of heat wave won't damage my project
hopefully they all are in the shade of my big weeping willow

More cooking (some without cooking)

Here is the hedgehog I made for friends

Rhubarb pie and cherries clafoutis

More junk journaling and paper crafting

Layers of atmosphere project

More crochet and knitting

Nice progress on the blue angora scarf and I'm progressing on sewing the crocheted flowers all together.

More sewing and felt

For Soline cooking  I plan to make melon and corn. More details in the next GG post.

And you won't believe me if I tell you that my sewing machine is AGAIN broken. No comment.

More watercolors to see on my Tour de France 7

The Tour has started on May the 18th for 17 weeks. First post every Monday and more clues every Thursday.

We will reached the stage 6 today and soon visit the South West departments.

June topic:   Half-year recap:  How are you doing with your goals so far this year?

Those last days with the hot temperatures haven't been very efficient and lake of sleep and weird sensations during this past week...

but the recap is ok, if I look at the introduction post, I'm late on making necklaces, on cross stitching and perforated paper, on the writing, on sewing (I'll borrow DD3 sewing machine).

3/ FIFA 2026 WITH MELISSA

Third show about FIFA World Cup event with Melissa from Measi.net

From 11th June to 19th July

I have given a call to my journalists friends who usually hosted the TV show for the OG : Nelson and Gérard and my couple of mice as the fan team to support the players.

Nelson:

After this third game with Norway won 4-1 we are finishing at the top of our group I.

Gérard:

So funny to watch the Norwegians fans rowing yesterday in the stands. Next will be the round of 32!

Nelson:

Who will we meet next round and when?

Gérard:

On 30th June it will be France - Sweden

Now it is time for updates.

Clutch is in charge of knitting

Last measurement of the blue angora scarf was 106 cm

the referee can now attest 117 cm!

Maple is the team coach of fans

and papers works

Capucine birthday card

I finally chose for her 10 years a kind of wheel of fortune, with 9 things to do like to read, to cook, to play music... + ?

for the last idea she can make a list inside the card

The other project I started is a  "layers of atmosphere" pop up card, I have seen some on the net a few months ago and I like them and thought it would be great to make one for my greatdaughter.
Hardest thing find the right estimated distances between the layers as no one seems to agree with the same numbers!

Zayu is taking care of white embroidery
on Vichy.

I realized that for my final project I needed
9 rows of 9 crosses so I'm completing the four
pieces of fabric in progress.

BON APPETIT 7

I hadn't make a "hedgehog" for an aperitif for a long time so as we were invited for a barbecue meal I thought it could be a gift to bring.

Allways funny to make, everyone enjoyed it.

My Mum recipe for whiting fillets, simply breaded with rusk crumbs and eggs.

DH cut some rhubarb stalks for a pie.

We went to pick some peas in La Bernardière farm, it's an open fields farm with fruits and vegetables.

We came back with about  2 kg of strawberries and  6 kg of peas and backaches but it is nice to have fresh tasty peas in the freezer now.

Our cherry tree has been generous to us this year so clafoutis is on the menu.

SMALLS SAL 06/26

Rachel used to host the Smalls SAL, on the last Friday of the month everyone is encouraged to post about small stitchings and I'd love to join this SAL regularly adding sometimes my small DIY.

The smallest things I did this month are undoubtedly the cocktail glasses and tacos for my couple of aficionados mice involved in the FIFA WC challenge.

The felt strips of corn kernels could count too.
