DD3 is in holidays and I borrowed her sewing machine so I have to hurry sewing my patchwork pieces for different tops.

All those boxes of fabric have to be sorted and I'm assembling the fabrics looking for nice colors to go with a comic strip and an egyptian patterns.

Je profite des vacances d'EA pour lui emprunter mon ancienne machine à coudre et avancer sur l'assemblage de pièces de tissus assorties récupérées dans mes stocks pour utiliser ce tissu bande dessiné ainsi que ce motif égyptien de hiéroglyphes.

For another project of jacket, I have tried to cut some pieces of pale green jean, a light brown fabric, one eggshell and a world map pattern close to jean texture.

Pour un autre projet de veste, j'assemble autour d'une pièce au motif de mappemonde achetée dans un salon DIY des chutes de jean vert pâle et des morceaux marron clair et coquille d'oeuf qui j'espère donneront un joli ensemble.

For our June/July birthdays barbecue, I made verrines again : aspic Madeira jelly with cherry tomatoes, smoked trut and quell eggs and another one with rose jelly, duck, yoghurt with cheese.

Deux verrines au menu du déjeuner anniversaires de juillet : gélée de madère avec des tomates cerises, de la truite fumée et des oeufs de caille ainsi qu'une à base de gelée de roses, canard fumé sur un coulis de fromage frais et yaourt.

More DIY / plus de petit bricolage fait maison

Retour de mon gnome joueur de cornemuse, le béret est cousu avec son ruban vert, les cheveux tressés et les nattes raccourcies. Les chutes serviront à remplir la nuque et arranger le dessous des nattes.

My bagpipe-playing gnome is back, with his beret sewn on with green ribbon, his hair braided and his plaits shortened. The scraps will be used to fill in the nape of his neck and tidy up the underside of the plaits.

Question of the Month :  What are the fully finished pieces (framed or other finish style) that you are most satisfied that you have done?

a big one and a tiny one too...

More recently my hexagone pullover was quite a challenge to crochet without a pattern so I'm very proud!

SMALLS SAL 07/25

 

Rachel is hosting the Smalls SAL, on the last Friday of the month everyone is encourage to post about small stitchings and I'd love to join this SAL regularly adding sometimes my small DIY.

Smalls SAL est organisé par Rachel et nous propose de montrer nos petites broderies. J'aimerai bien y participer régulièrement et ainsi avoir un nouveau rendez-vous sur le blog le dernier vendredi du mois en y ajoutant quelque fois mes petits bricolages.

I am stitching on perforated paper two Christmas patterns from Brooke's books.

There are some tiny accessories to do for the garlands held by the two characters as cakes, leaves, cup.

Voici deux délicieux gâteaux de Noël qui viendront s'accrocher sur la guirlande d'un des deux personnages brodés sur carton.

Hier je vous ai parlé de mon envie de passeport pour mon JJ et pour la photo j'ai eu l'idée d'une mini broderie.

Voici donc ma petite photo...

J'ai utilisé la grille d'un personnage de ma série de Noël de chez Cuore e Batticuore en arrangeant la taille du bonnet. Et en la brodant sur un fil de trame je trouve que le résultat est bien.

Yesterday, I was posting about a passport for Jocondine in my sewing themed Junk Journal. I have found a funny way using the pattern of a Christmas character from Cuore e Batticuore for the photo.

JJJ22 LE JEUDI DU JUNK JOURNAL

 I have been busy with the garden and back to sewing so not many time for my JJ  but now I have some new WIP to show and it's Thursday - jeudi, so the right day for a JJJ post.

I had this very simple idea, using a jean pocket in my JJ. All the old kids jeans I have kept have different kind of classic blue but I've got one pale green I used for my small whale bag and I have cut a back pocket to glue on a world map theme page.

I can add a charm of a small suitcase and some ribbon later.

With an old passport, I'm making a sewing passport for Jocondine. 

I have glued little pieces of paper on each place and I'm thinking of a fun idea for the photo. You'll have to wait my small SAL post tomorrow...

Not sure I'll keep the name of the official stamp as he was named Mr GOAT!

Then I remembered I have created imaginary countries for the Wipolympics! So some visas will be needed to visit them!

J'avais l'intention d'utiliser une poche de jean dans mon JJ, parmi mon stock de vieux pantalons bleus classiques j'ai trouvé ce joli coloris vert d'eau et ai découpé une poche arrière.

Elle sera collée sur une page thème mappemonde.

Je vais pouvoir ajouter un charm valise et sûrement un ruban.

Jocondine a besoin d'un passeport, je suis donc entrain d'arranger un ancien en recouvrant les informations de petits bouts de papier.

J'ai une idée pour la photo mais vous devrez attendre demain le SMALL SAL pour la voir. Pas sûre que je conserve le nom de la signature officielle... M. CHEVRE ???

Côté visas, je me suis dis que je devais utiliser la liste des pays imaginaires que j'ai créé pour les Wipolympics.

J'ai également envie de me confectionner un sac à main sur le modèle de celui que je fabrique pour mes cartes d'anniversaire.

Par contre, je vais découper la poignée dans une couverture d'agenda bleu foncé pour lui donner un aspect plus maroquinerie.

Another project for the JJ is to make a handbag - with the pattern of my birthday handbag card- but this time I'll cut the handle in an old office diary dark blue cover for a better "leather goods" look.

I have also cut an inside "lining" in another paper but I might not glue it and keep it as a page using the bag like a book!

I'm making a small pocket in front.

Le papier découpé au départ pour une doublure intérieure ne sera peut-être pas collé pour devenir une page double façon livre.

Une petite poche extérieure viendra décorer le devant du sac.

Je réhabilite également des emballages comme cette pochette d'autocollants dont j'aime beaucoup les motifs.

Pour le moment j'ai simplement caché les écrits sous un carton violet assorti et renforcé la fermeture en créant une pochette à l'intérieur et en décorant avec du washi tape. Selon l'emploi futur non encore défini j'ajouterai certainement du calque coloré.

I also recycle packaging, such as this stickers pouch, as I really like the designs.

For now, I have simply covered the writing with matching purple cardboard and reinforced the closure by creating a pocket inside and decorating it with washi tape. Depending on how I plan to use it in the future, I will certainly add some coloured tracing paper.

Now the real big question is where have I put the stickers as I have used only a few numbers to create nice envelopes!

One more vintage record player and a wardrobe have been also sent

this month.

Avec un tourne-disque et une armoire ce sont les cartes des petits enfants qui avec le modèle personnalisé "hamburger sachet de frites" pour Timothé et le "découvre où sont tes bougies !" pour Capucine qui ont été les plus amusante à réaliser.
