Back to the drawings I'm making for the next Tour de France
Here are three of your guides

I have 51 images to prepare, reusing some of the past editions and using some photos, that leaves me with 33 new paintings.

Question of the Month:  Which of your current WIPs do you consider your most difficult piece to stitch?

Probably : Femmes de Paris des Jardins de Nana

I bought it in a DIY fair, kind of impulse buy, but there isn't a lot of cross stitch, there is a lot of black stitches without counting help so I'm a little lost in the pattern. I brought it back for the Wipolympics thinking I'd be brave to give it its chance but not! It is back in my bag and have to wait for better times.

WIPOCALYPSE 09/25

+++  2025 is the year of  "more of" +++

+++ Point de croix / More cross stitching!

Here I am! The flowered shrub on the right is done and I have the "mille-fleurs" (thousand-flowers) now to finish.

+++ Sewing / Couture

Still on the neckline of my summer dress and its crocheted cover.

+++ Gardening / Jardinage

The next project in the garden is to add some other climbing flowers in the bottom of the garden (maybe a passion flower)

Kids came helping us when DH felt from his ladder so more strong arms to dig were welcomed!

I had a nice visitor a silver-washed fritillary on the valerian.

+++ Crafts / Bricolages

My bats are waiting now for some sweets to hide after closing their wings and bees are busy on the honey pot.

+++ Crochet - knitting / Crochet - tricot

I'm assembling my granny squares for slippers.

+++ Junk journal

A new page finished...

And to change my mind I'm making some "pyramids" mini albums

(on next Thursday JJ post)

Topic of the month: Do you have any sort of record for your finished pieces? Tell us how you record their information.

I brought back from my office dozen of old files (saved from the dustbin) where I keep my patterns and my fabric and supplies are kept in empty boxes (of photocopier paper) I thought had the perfect size. I also use smaller flip top files boxes easier to carry.

Of course I use my blog and PC files to keep "tuto pictures" of what I've made to be more efficient the next time it'll be on my desk (not always the case).

My threads are kept in DMC plastic files and the coton perlé in plastic bags in a king of little trunk (with a stitched pun : brod way as broder is embroider)

I want to finish this post on a funny idea...

When I have decided to use some empty DVD boxes to keep some necklaces and earrings...

WIPOCALYPSE 08/25

Time to share with Melissa and the Wipocalypse family the projects we want to complete before the end of the world.

+++  2025 is the year of  "more of" +++

Quite a good month, many different works out of their baskets...

+++ Point de croix / More cross stitching!

+++ Sewing / Couture

A new "puncho" top nearly finished. Assembling different fabrics, green and yellow to match with an old apron. I loved this egyptian design fabric.

A WIP jacket, two tops projects and as I found the fabric for a summer dress I'm back on trying to combine a crocheted top/braces/collar on a fabric dress.

+++ Gardening / Jardinage

A new plant "orange agastache" (bought on our way back from Beaugency), the ground was so dry and mostly clay and stones!

+++ Cooking / Cuisine

Spaghettis de courgettes et tomates farcies.

+++ Crafts / Bricolages

+++ Crochet - knitting / Crochet - tricot

Back on my squares for granny slippers.

My first attempt for some slippers was too large. I'll have to make smaller squares with tigher stitches.

I'm also trying to find a nice flower pattern for some variated colors wool, maybe this 8 petals one easy for me to do.

+++ Watercolor / Aquarelle

Still drawing and coloring the characters of my next Tour de France 7th.

+++ Junk journal

Mon passeport de brodeuse

My embroiderer passport

JJ "time" (we all don't have enough for DIY) right page.

I often forget the topic of the month, but today my thoughts go out to Brooke Nolan, as we all miss her patterns.
