April theme from Jo's SAL is "speciality stitches"
http://serendipitousstitching.blogspot.com/2019/04/the-people-chose-speciality-stitches.html
so right times to update an embroidery I'm working on, no cross on this one.
Among the WIP is the kit from "Un chat dans l'aiguille" named "Quand Noël s'en mêle"
It's a kind of hanging with four scenes on white linen fabric
and the back on red fabric.
I have already begun three scenes : Santa Klaus, the Nativity
and the sleigh.
Here are my progress on the sleigh
A lot of different stitches on this work :
chain stitch
featherstitch
buttonhole crescent stitch
Palestrina stitch
crewel stitch
Daisy stitch
twisted chain stitch
French knot
sand stitch
spider's web stitch
star stitch
always useful explanations
Santa Klaus update...
Love a lot other stitches... some examples on older works...
Quelques autres anciens ouvrages aux points variés.
Hardanger
Le point de Bayeux
Geometry
Broderie Richelieu
to match with some breakfast cup "Biscuit de Quimper" HB
Les oiseaux de paradis d'après le décor des faïences de Gien
finish with another work from "Un chat dans l'aiguille" a cisors holder for DD2
un étui à ciseaux - motif chats pour DD2
pour clore à la façon d'une épanadiplose, retrouvons notre chat dans l'aiguille
In next May, a bunch of flowers "next People choose theme" will wait for you...
Oh, I love the cat scissor keep! That is super cute.

RépondreSupprimerThanks for taking part in The People's Choice this month. I knew you would share some beautiful work with us. I love the Christmas embroideries and the lovely red hardanger. Do you have a source for that pattern?
RépondreSupprimerThe cat scissor case is adorable too.
Wonderful stitches! So many pretty projects. I don't know which I like best!
