The town name is :       Nevers             sounding like  never

Rappel des indices  /  Some explanations about the clues

Our first guide was Mr Isaac Newton,   hopefully the number 58 was giving me a clue as the total of the 7 first prime numbers and Mr Newton was the perfect guy to show it.   2 + 3 + 5 + 7 + 11+ 13 +17 = 58

I recently discover Mary Anning, reading Tracy Chevalier novel "Remarkable creatures", so she was welcome to be part of my guests.

Mme Tussaud is French, born in Strasbourg in 1761 and it was a great fun visiting the famous London Museum in 1979.

   

Pour découvrir le numéro du département de la Nièvre, M. Newton était le parfait guide puisque, le croirez vous, l'addition des sept premiers nombres premiers donne le résultat de 58 ! 

J'ai découvert la vie de Mme Mary Anning récemment en lisant le livre de Tracy Chevalier "Prodigieuses créatures", j'étais donc ravie de l'inviter sur mon Tour. Quant à Mme Tussaud, elle est française puisque née à Strasbourg mais célèbre en Grande Bretagne. J'ai eu beaucoup de plaisir à visiter son musée de cire à Londres en 1979.

The name of Nevers for us can be linked to "the Duke of Nevers" (1516-1561 - Reign of François 1er)

and a very popular fictional character from the novel "Le Bossu - le roman de Lagardère" de Paul Feval

well known for his fencing skill and what we call "la botte de Nevers"

a fencing attack only known by him.
