No progress on clothes or cushions but I received an order! DD3 send me a photo of a little bag in a whale shape.

So I started drawing and cutting a pattern. Then the small pieces of fabric in old jeans. 

Rien de nouveau en couture vêtements/coussins/couverture mais j'ai reçu une commande d'EA pour la confection d'un mini sac en forme de baleine. Donc confection d'un patron et découpe des pièces dans d'anciens jeans.

June and July are big birthdays months which means four birthday cards.

Spiral card for a friend is ok, DD1 will receive a "wardrobe card" and the vintage record player is almost done. 

For the kids, I have to find a new pattern every year and Capucine will have to find her 9 candles in a new version of the "candles hunt".

Timothé will be 14 and is talking about a training at a cooking school maybe, so I have chosen the "cook" theme for him. I wanted to make something funnier than my kitchen card and found an old project of a cone of French fries I could transform into a fries and hamburger wishes card. I could write wishes on the fries and "build" a 3D pop up hamburger.

No sooner said than done, I'm cutting bread, salad, tomatoes, cheese, pickles and ketchup.

I have now to think about how I'll put them together, probably with a nylon thread in the middle with a Z piece of plastic between the different parts.

I'm also making new things for my Junk Journal.

Côté cartonnage, plusieurs cartes d'anniversaire en cours et surtout un nouveau projet pour fêter les 14 ans de Timothé. Des études de cuisine ont été récemment évoquées donc je choisis un thème cuisine mais je veux trouver une idée différente de la carte en U que j'ai déjà fait deux fois. Je pense alors que je peux recycler un ancien projet de sachet de frites qui pourrait recevoir mes voeux en le complétant avec un hamburger en pop up.

Aussitôt dit, aussitôt fait : choix des cansons utilisés pour les découpes des tomates, cornichons, steak et salade. Puis confection d'un petit pain dans un papier d'emballage. Il va falloir maintenant réfléchir au montage, certainement par le biais d'un fil nylon passé au milieu avec un Z en plastique pour maintenir un espace entre les différents éléments du sandwich.

Réalisation de pochette, feuille tamponnée et découpes pour mon JJ.

I wanted to be back making necklaces for so long but I have already so many things on my desk that it was always postponed. I hope I'll be able to finish something before the summer.

I'm trying to make a long necklace made on a base of DMC threads making a kind of small rope (we call it cordelière) on which I'll attach buttons, charms... ending with a tassel.

I have chose a coton perlé n° 5  738 beige  associated with a metallic pink 5852

Cela fait trop longtemps que je veux refaire des colliers, il est temps de passer en fin à l'action. Avec comme premier essai une base de cordelière réalisée en coton perlé et fil métallique sur laquelle je vais coudre de jolis boutons, des charms et mini accessoires en finissant par un pompon gland.

JJJ21 LE JEUDI DU JUNK JOURNAL

 

I have finally put together my "memory pages", on the left side the poem writen by DD3 in 2005 "Lament of the Troyes weavers" and on the right the register copy about Marie Anne Armandine family spinner in 1840.

Voici conjointement assemblées Eve-Amélie, par sa poésie écrite en 2005 "La complainte des tisseuses de Troyes" et Marie Anne Armandine, fileuse de ma famille disparue en 1840.

J'ai décidé finalement de conserver dans mon JJ, le profil découpé à la manière de Shamekh Bluwi.

J'ai réalisé une pochette avec un calque vert où glisser ma carte qui sera maintenue par une bande confectionnée avec des pages de livres pliées cousue sur du washi tape.

I finally decided to keep my cut dress cardboard (for pictures in Shamekh Bluwi way) in my JJ (then I'll find it more easily when I need it).

So a new belly band is needed!

I have made a pocket with a green tracing paper where I can slide the card which will be held by a band of folded book pages with sewed washi tape.

JJJ20 LE JEUDI+1 DU JUNK JOURNAL

J+1 pour l'article du jeudi consacré au JJ, plusieurs idées en cours de réalisation :

Vue sur le groupe FB du Paper Outpost, une page découpée dont je cherchais à m'inspirer depuis longtemps. Le truc étant déjà de trouver le dessin qui transparait à travers les découpes. J'ai collé deux illustrations de magazine du même style sur une page et j'ai réfléchi aux parties des scènes que je souhaitais faire apparaître. J'ai choisi un calque noir et du rose pour quelques sur-motifs, le tout découpé et piqué à la machine.

Il me faudra donner un peu de peps à tout cela avec des paillettes et autres accessoires : charm, sequins...

 

Since I have seen on the Paper Outpost FB group a lovely cut out page shown by Bunny Hamm in her coffee themed JJ I wanted to try it myself.

First I needed a picture with enough different subjects and I found two magazines fashion designs that might be interesting. I have glued them on a page and made a pattern choosing what will be showed and what will be hiden.

I think I'll use some of my colored tracing papers, maybe the black one which is opaque. Finally I have add some pieces of pink because it was too dark.

I had to loan to DD3 my old sewing machine I gave her and try to sew the tracing paper. Not so easy, got some troubles with some stitches

Knotting the threads, making the back as clean as possible.

The "opened views" are cut, as I'm not a pro in sewing paper I have only make a few lines and I think it will need some glitter, charms, washi tape or shining accessories for a nice finish!

Le pliage de cette bande permet de faire ressortir la pendule qui sera le pop up de ma double page "c'est l'heure de". Je vais rassembler des décos sur le thème des pendules et autres montres à gousset.

Another way to use pop up in the journal between two signatures. This will be the "it's time to" double page. With clock, watch, gousset, chronometer...  Do you know that what you call hands in a clock we call it the small and the big needle! And when you simply say "clockwise" we say "dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre"  literally "in the way of the needles of a watch". How complicated!

Natasha (the Treasure book) has shown on YT some nice pages fully stamped and it gave me the idea of getting out all my stamps. As a base I have prepared two sheets of paper glued with torned book pages pieces and fill the all surface with stamps.

After a first try with some unexpected too inky designs  (I think it may be because I use more water in the glue for this one) the second was better and I like it.

I had to wash my fingers very often but the result is close to the tuto.

Après avoir préparé deux pages avec une base de feuilles de livre déchirées et collées, j'ai sorti tous mes tampons et assemblés les motifs pour recouvrir toute la surface de papier. Première tentative un peu trop encrée parfois (due certainement au fait que j'ai trop d'eau dans mon mélange de colle) la seconde feuille est plus réussie et valait la peine d'avoir les doigts recouverts d'encre !  Encore une super idée vue chez Natasha de chez Treasure Book.

Let start with my birthdays cards : 

I spent some time with Timothé during last month holidays and he had a Pop up card to make for school so we worked together on our projects

Cutting spiral for me and making a Japanese landscape for him

Pierre's birthday was on May 5th so I have to hurry for a simple card and I thought a popsicle could be fun for a two years old boy.

et un découpage de spirale pour moi

Les deux ans de Pierre seront l'occasion de refaire ma carte esquimau, vite faite et amusante pour un petit garçon j'espère.

I want to test a "spiral" card for a friend birthday

on June 30th. I have to finish Capucine's card for the same day

and three more for July 14th.

So here is the wip list : a spiral card, a "find" the candles card, a garde-robe, a vintage record player and a new idea for a sandwich card.

I also have some progress on Capucine card :

The front is finished it will be a mailbox and a wooden fence.

I have cut the tiny pieces of wood for the

woodpile near the barn.

And as I want to hide a candle behind

I chose to glue them on a piece of plastic

to be able to slip it easily.

Door's backs are covered

and flowers boxes on the ground-floor

Quelques progrès sur la carte de Capucine :

La première page est terminée

avec une boîte aux lettres et

une barrière de bois fleurie

Le tas de bois coupé et collé sur

une feuille de plastique pour me

permettre de glisser une bougie

derrière

L'intérieur des portes est recouvert, la cheminée coupée,

les jardinières fleuries aux fenêtres du rez-de-chaussée.
