GIFTED GORGEOUSNESS 10/23

It's always nice to make gifts, nice too to receive some
and use them in our stitching projects.

It's great and fun to show all this and the perfect place is
on Jo's blog Serendipitous Stitching on the 15th of each month
for the Gifted Gorgeousness post.

November birthdays cards are on the top of my list

My SiL1 is a great fan of Harry Potter
and I have always wanted to make a tunnel book

No special purchase, the deal is to do something HP
without buying new things

Among my cardboards, I have chosen a stone wall, a decor with keys, stripes and brown and yellow patterns

The circles will go from 14 cm to 4 cm

Some years ago I have printed some small books covers
from Christmas ornaments
and I might make some flying keys with metal keys from my stash

Back to September cards, I kept secret a desk U shape card
Only post about some little part of it

I was making a window for the left side,
a desk with a feather, a phone, a lamp, a wall planner
some tiny cards, magazines and a felt plant

The tiny planner is made from a plastic collar from a new man's shirt with some holes to receive tiny T cards, the blottar is made with an old agenda cover, the lamp with the top of a tube of cream.

And then I forgot to take a final picture!

Now you can see it on Jo's blog...

DD3 has sent me some pictures of the felt garland
I made for her birthday put now on her shelves

Before becoming (again) angry with my sewing machine I managed to sew a travel laundry bag I'm making for DDiL2 soon to be 30th birthday

I still have some finish on the other side and with the cord,
so I hope it will be part of the next Fully Finished Gallery

Still making hexagones in crochet...
I had to try to do "half hexagone" for the bottom edge of the pullover
my first attempt was "half" but not the right half
the second was better!

turkey escalope (cheaper than veal) + mustard + bacon + gruyère
vegetables julienne

roll and tie paupiettes - brown in olive oil with onions and add water

I wanted to make some for a while but I needed to find small pictures on an advertising catalog now that some shops just stop to print them!
I was lucky last week, I found two so let's go!

Tiny pink bags, white felt for the bard of bacon and a white fluo thread.

The big one on the right can be open so you can serve the meal to the dolls.

FULLY FINISHED GALLERY 10/23

It's the 10th +1 of this month and Rachel from "Ten Hour Stitcher" welcome us and our Fully Finished achievements.

Please visit her blog and see all the finished projects of our stitching friends.

https://tenhourstitcher.blogspot.com/2023/10/link-up-for-fully-finished-gallery-sal.html

I should be able to post about the September birthday cards, of course you have already seen the one I sent to DD3.

The second were sent to Jo, a U shape card, kind of office/desk, but finally I get so stressed about the parcel, the customs things, the delay... that I forgot to take a final picture of it. So you'll have to wait Jo's GG post to see it!

Next are two November birthdays,
so I fully finished a small cross stitch and an owl in a small paper stained glass window which will be part of a surprise of DSiL1

YOU CHOOSE 10/23

First Saturday of October means that I'd like to post about a topic chosen by our stitching friends. This SAL is run by Jo from Serendipitous Stitching, it's about what you want to see on the blog.

Weather

A year of stitches is the perfect place to find weather pattern all around the 4 seasons...

Rain and thunder for an Halloween pattern from Cuore e Batticuore

Umbrellas in the house as a vase welcoming our guests
paper towels and names stickers

We love nice wind because we need it for our kites.

That is why I added this little kite on my goose game.

A lovely pattern from Butternut Road "Catch the wind"
which is hanging in the hall

Let it snow!

A white wool for this cat on a snowed ground

and of course, snow and ice for Christmas and skating patterns

Now, I'm going visiting your blogs, with a coat and an umbrella just in case, to see all the lovely temperature SALs you're stitching.
