THEME-TAS-STITCH 11/17

Back to Theme-tas-Stitch update,

Each month, Kerry organizes this event (usually on the 21th, I'm late...)

http://ramblingsofabiscornuaddict.blogspot.fr/

with a special theme, this month it's :

No X November -
Blackwork, Hardanger, pulled thread or speciality stitches the choice is yours or maybe it's time to tackle the backstitch on some of those almost finished projects.

Perfect to get out of the basket the no X stitching "Quand Noël s'en mêle" a kit from Un chat dans l'aiguille.

I chose the Santa chart to bring during my holidays break

J'ai choisi de commencer le Père Noël ou Saint Nicolas à l'occasion de mes quelques vacances.

chain stitch,  stem stitch, long stitch, buttonhole stitch
point de chainette, point de tige, point lancé, point de feston en croissant.

Then back home, it was times to play with ribbons for the future Xmas cards
Il est temps de réfléchir quels modèles de cartes fabriquées maison me tentent pour cette année, celles réalisées avec des rubans de récup seront très sympas et simples à confectionner.

Always useful to save ribbons
from chocolate or perfume boxes.

L'occasion de sortir la boîte de rubans
récupérés sur les coffrets de chocolat, parfums
et autres croquets et rubans de satin.

and to play with wool
for a Santa beard
for an ornie I bought in
a shop in Chinon
nice stop on the way back home.

une jolie barbe brillante pour
un père Noël à suspendre

petit arrêt "mercerie" à Chinon
chez "Idées à coudre"

you can see I still have Halloween tableclothe!

Deck the Halls December -
Christmas is almost upon us so pull out those Christmas themed projects or stitch a new ornament for the tree.

I'm already stitching for Christmas,
a new ornament will be welcome.

  3. You have been busy! I love the embroidery, it looks so much quicker than cross stitch!
    Your trees are beautiful too.
My son make a picture at school which they turn into Christmas cards for the parents to buy to raise money for the school. It saves me making cards myself!
