GIFTED GORGEOUSNESS 09/20

It's time to update the Gifted Gorgeousness monthly post :

Please visit Jo's blog "Serendipitous stitching" to discover what she made with or for gifts here :

Having our grandchildren at home every Monday in August gave me the opportunity to see Félix and Violette and offered them some new equipment.

The sleeping bag is finished and was tested in the garden with the campfire. During this visit, I had the idea of a quick-made boat for some adventures. Capucine loved it a lot and will with no doubt invent new stories for her dolls.

De nouvelles réalisations pour les poupées Zazobouzi.

I have add the third color, a blue wool, to the hammock and begun to tie the fringes.
J'ai ajouté la troisième couleur, un bleu pâle, sur les franges du hamac et ai commencé à nouer.

We spend some funny times playing angling game. I had already made some fishes, mermaid,  octopus... during 2017-2018

and wanted to sew some "surprise" fishes with one side kind of pocket to put some candies.

Three were made, great success with the kids and a facecious grandpa succeed fishing her granddaughter and hide her pacifier among the fishing

On another day we made some paper bags to play shopping, decorated with old stamps I used to play with 55 years ago!

September is DD3 birthday's month, so I had a card to make. A good opportunity to play with paper, cardboard and fabric and discover the U shape card with some internet tutos.

Kind of violet (her favorite color) miror paper, paper buttons and spool with real green threads.
The card is folded to fit into the envelope.

A last gift, some blue sky and sun, we have nice holidays in Haute-Normandie, as you can see on this pic I took in Fécamp.

  2. Thanks for taking part in GG this month. I love all the unique toys you make for your grandchildren. The fishing game looks like great fun!
English lesson - "bangs" is American for the hair style, rather than the fringing on a rug. English people use "fringe" for both things.
