I have a BIG finish this month. I started my fifth gnome in 2024 January (can you believe it) with the idea of a bagpipe player. No pattern, but I had the right fabric for the kilt and beret. Red hair came from orange cords from chocolate boxes and I had already sewed the nose on the body with the same shape I made for the other gnomes.

And then I put it back in his bag, because it was not a spring project and the beret with its ribbon was giving me some troubles. Sometimes, you need a break to come back later with better fingers.

I took it back at the end of May and managed to sew the beret and the ribbon, then I made the braids and sewed some extra hair on the back of her neck.

I have cut the leather bagpipe from two old elbows pads

Some wood sticks dyed with coffee, I have made three tiny holes in the "chanter" and glued tiny black beads and bigger yellow wood beads.
Cords and tassels are made with coton perlé.

This is a small sporran made in a red agenda cover.
