N° 6

Nous sommes de retour à la maison et j'essaye de me replonger dans mes préparatifs de Noël, de rattraper le retard côté déco, de continuer d'avancer sur des bricolages et de faire quelques emplettes.

Mon premier gnome Björn a réclamé la présence d'un ami donc j'ai choisi de lui adjoindre un cuisinier. Mon tissu alsacien (une fois retrouvé) sera parfait pour le bonnet et après une coupe conique j'ai finalement opté pour une forme moins classique.

Jo's suggestion for Scandinavian names is perfect, G1 will be called Björn!

After some researches, I like also Knut, Svenn, Yrgö, they will be great for me next theme : cook, garden, steampunk, sewing (I'd love to do a bagpipe player too and maybe a Harry Potter theme for my SiL1).

I have started Gnome 2, 

The beard neaded more volume so I have sewed more "hair" under it.

Finally I have found the fabric I wanted to use for the cap but after cutting a basic cone shape changed my mind to something else. 

Let me introduce you Knut, the cooking gnome.

I have added two charms I already had : grapes and a bretzel.

I'd like to add a spoon (maybe I can find one in the Barbie box), maybe a kitchen whisk or a rolling pin.

Après avoir regonflé sa barbe bouclée, Knut attend maintenant que je lui ajoute quelques accessoires, déjà un pendentif en bretzel et une grappe de raisin. J'aimerais une cuillère, un fouet ou un rouleau à pâtisserie.

Since 2021, I put some artificial tree branches on the staircase to receive what I call my DIY garland with led candles. New not so ugly Christmas sweaters, a lovely wool cap Debbie sent me, wool knitting balls are 2022 new decorations and I added some dried oranges slices. 

Same on the Christmas tree which is ready now and the village in its last show on the stone fireplace as we'll remove it next spring to put a wood stove. 

La guirlande DIY s'est étoffée cette année avec de nouvelles décorations : deux boules tricot, un adorable bonnet que Debbie m'a fabriqué et la collection 2022 des pulls de Noël. J'ai ajouté quelques rondelles d'oranges séchées ainsi que sur le sapin. Le village est installé pour la dernière fois sur la cheminée (puisqu'au printemps elle sera remplacée par un poêle à bois).
