FULLY FINISHED GALLERY 07/26

It's the 10th of this month and Rachel from "Ten Hour Stitcher"
used to welcome us and our Fully Finished achievements.

Her blog is on pause but I want to keep this event as a special day welcoming my fully finished projects.

This month...  knitting is in the spotlight!

My second angora yarn scarf is finished.

Remember I bought some wool visiting the farm "Les p'tits bergers"

This scarf is 146 cm long and will be given soon to DD1.

As she rides her bike early to go to work, it will be useful in winter.

Miguel the Cameleon is a kit from Filantrope broderies, they have quite a collection of outfits and I have chosen girafe.

After a bad start during the Olympics, mixing colors, I took another fabric and here it is. I didn't like the thread at all, very tight I found difficult to work with.

There is a tiny swaroski crystal for the eye.

Today I'm pleased to show you my fully finished angora wool scarf

I bought the wool during a visit to the "p'tits bergers" farm in Chaussy

Aiguilles 3.5

Two balls of yarn of 50 g gave me a scarf 140 cm long.

I have started the same pattern with the blue yarn for DD1.

It's a Fully Finished - but not framed - cross stitch :

The lady and the unicorn was a kit I received as a Christmas gift and started January 2022.

The fabric was an Aïda 8 kind of burgundy color and as I can't anymore stitch without my magnifying lamp since my cataract operation I can't cross stitch as easily as before so progressing took times.

Not easy to stitch on a dark color too but I loved the pattern and I don't remember making mistakes so it was nice to do.

I often used it in Wipocalypse, wipolympics events to get a boost.

I still dream to be able one day to visit the Cluny museum and see the five tapestries shown in Paris.

another Fully Finished knitting is the sleeveless sweater for DD3.

More about it in the Gifted Gorgeousness post in 5 days...

Now that my sewing machine has been repaired, I've started sewing again. After making my first berlingot candy shaped pouch, I asked DD1 if she wanted anything else made from the “perf” fabric, and she suggested pencil cases.

So I made a pencil case with a bottom for her and a flat one for her colleague.

I took the opportunity to make another pouch for Charlotte, who is also a nurse.

As the zipper pulls are very small, I added tassel pom-poms to make them easier to grip. They are made from No. 5 pearl cotton. I found skeins of white B5200 XXL at the DIY show held at the end of January.

All my pouches are lined with white sheet fabric as the fabric is quite thin.

FULL FINISHED GALLERY SAL 01/26

It's the 10th of this month and Rachel from "Ten Hour Stitcher" used to
welcome us and our Fully Finished achievements.

The blog is on pause yet but I'd like to post on the same date if I have a small or big finish to share with you

I have posted about my Wypocalypse plans last Sunday - linked to Melissa from Measi's musings SAL.

and as it's an Olympic Year I'd love to participate to the WypOlympics too.

Next winter games will take place in North Italy (February 6th to 22th)

I always send my team of journalists Nelson and Gérard and my couple of supporters Mr and Mrs Mouse.

They are renamed for the occasion : signor e signora Topolino

and they'll need some mountain equipment.

I thought about making skis in wood but it will be fragile and I chose some wood look cardboard (from food trays) and I'm glad that they look great.

We had some snow last Monday, perfect time to get out and try our new equipment and make some pictures.

I have shown them the mascots Tina and Milo, two lovely stoats and the Flo, six small snowdrops.

Mrs Mouse loved the cute hat they were wearing and she asks for one.

I made one for her with some white and green felt.
