BONNE ANNEE 2026

Bonne et heureuse année !      Happy New Year !

I wish you lots of laughter, to treat yourself, to be happy, chocolate, to love yourself, to listen to yourself, to be respected, to dream big, to flourish, to travel

To this lovely wish list, I would add...

embroidering, reading, getting your knitting needles and crochet hooks out, adding colour to beautiful drawings with your paintbrushes, cutting out all kinds of paper to make more personal decorations and cards, having fun with all your pieces of fabric  and, above all, blogging to share your projects with your friends!

MARATHON STITCHING DAY

This is a fun/serious project inspired by Jo from Serendipitous Stitching.

Summer solstice day is near to June 21th but I have to adjust my own schedule with DH visiting his Mum...

On the program : cross stitching, crochet, scrapbooking...

Top, partez !

Let's go!

Since we're back from holidays, first thing to do early morning is to go in the garden and pick raspberries for freezing.

Good start at 10 am with cross stitching until lunch with progress on my two WIP.

32° C didn't help me being efficient in the afternoon... nevertheless I have worked on my mini crocheted squares and even it's not spectacular all the threads in the middle are hidden and it's a total of 61!

Last project out of the basket was my gnome, I have finished the sewing of the beret.

That was the end of my marathon stitching day, only four projects, next days will still be hot days so sewing summer dresses will become urgent!

You'll find the list of all the bloggers participating, don't miss a letter!
When you'll be ready with an Easter themed phrase go back to her with your answer.

Bells have left for Rome on Thursday

and will be back on Sunday

delivering Easter eggs in our gardens.

I love to participate to this blog hop and make something special on Easter theme. I had this quilling kit in my drawers for a long time, why not trying to build a bell!

The paper strips are barely 3 mm wide and I want to be able to hang it so I couldn't glue it on a paper shape so the ornament is very fragile and as a first try it looks more like a dress than a bell! Whatever it's my Easter decoration.

My letter is an

Let's see what Leonore is sharing with us...

ADVENT CALENDAR "13th"

 Ho, Ho, Ho...

Here you are, on December the 13 th,

visiting me for the Advent Calendar Blog Hop from Jo

https://serendipitousstitching.blogspot.com

As in previous years, each day in December a blogger has be assigned a date and will invite you to come in her house and see some of the pretty embroideries or decorations she made this year.

Here are my 2023 ornaments, cups full of sequins and warm wishes for a great Christmas.

No big story about Santa in my youth, we were living far from the family so Christmas was very quiet.

With our three daughters it was more festive...

More than 25 years ago, we had a great Christmas at home with the visit of my cousin Christine family. We were all gathered when the phone rang and Santa himself asked to speak to DD2 Anne-Solène who was about 6 years old. I remember her look and how she answered a few questions about having be nice or not. Thanks to the new mobile phones, her dad was in our bedroom calling our home!

Knocking at the door of the blog "Tales of a stitching mouse" Mouse is welcoming us with a nice stitching about St Nick. It gave me the idea that it could be great to stitch Christmas smalls with all the names we give to the big guy...   Père Noël, Saint Nicolas, Père Chalande (dialect Savoie), Olentzero (pays Basque), Santa Claus, St Nick, Christkindel  etc.  Maybe one day...

ADVENT CALENDAR "20th"

Ho, Ho, Ho...

Here you are, on December the 20 th,

visiting me for the Advent Calendar Blog Hop from Jo

https://serendipitousstitching.blogspot.com/2022/12/2022-advent-calendar-blog-hop.html

As in previous years, each day in December a blogger has be assigned a date and will invite you to come in her house and see some of the pretty embroideries or decorations she made this year.

Among some new DIY crafts I have shown since November the 6 th with my Countdown to Christmas posts, I'm coming back with my Advent Calendar, this one was for Jo!

I know you're familiar to Jo's Blog Hop, so you have recognized that first door as the one she shows every year, it had to be the first to start December.

For my beloved visitors, I'll spoil a little the funniest door.

(but I know Jo will be ok)

Choosing the different types of doors, I thought it would be fun to have a stable door opening not on an horse but on a reindeer!

Comet was happy to be part of my Advent Calendars this year.

He is glad to welcome you here too !

I love Christmas markets and a calendar is the perfect place to show one cookies chalet.

Now, it's time for Dessert, Jo gave us the year topic : What's for Afters?

Here it's the  "bûche de Noël"  on French Christmas table.

The traditional one yet offers many varieties : chocolate or any flavour you prefer.

I remember one of my favorite was a sleigh of nougatine with a lot of individual logs vanilla, chocolate, coffee and praline!

Often we chose ice cream bûche which is supposed to be lighter for the end of the meal, so any ice cream fruit flavour is ok.

In 2015, I decided to do the traditional Provencal (south East France) 13 desserts :

All details here :
https://jocondine.blogspot.com/2015/12/joyeux-noel.html

Here are the afters I have stitched and made.

Tomorrow, you'll visit DJ who has always amazing stitchings on her blog Tickled Pink in Stitches.

Once again, this Blog Hop is amazing, thanks to Jo!

Merry Christmas for you all, warm wishes for your families.
