For this probably last CC post...  

My staircase garland is finally in place, so many "not so ugly Christmas sweaters" to hang on it now!

Ma guirlande d'escalier est enfin installée et je commence à avoir des soucis pour caser tous mes pulls pas si moches !

Pour ces dix ans et une carte spéciale "trois fêtes" j'ai choisi le thème de la fête foraine pour Soline.

Un grand huit pour Noël, un manège pour son anniversaire et une grande roue pour la nouvelle année.

I chose the "fair theme" for my special "3 parties" card for Soline :

the roller coaster for Christmas

the merry-go-round for her birthday

and the Ferris wheel to celebrate the new year

Un autre essai de recyclage, comment redonner une autre vie à des décorations non utilisées.

Pour présenter une ancienne photo des filles je vais utiliser une jolie carte trop mignonne et créer un cadre à l'intérieur avec un papier brillant vert. Elle sera collée sur une page en tant que pochette pour recevoir une autre photo de mes petits enfants.

I only start to decorate my Christmas Junk Journal

I want to use some cute cards and in this one I want to show an old photo of the girls. I have added a green shiny paper after cuting an oval shape "frame". It will be glued on a page as a pocket where I can slide another photo of my grand children.

J'ai apprécié tous les jours de déballer les surprises préparées pour moi par Soline et sa maman dans mon calendrier de l'avent.

Parmi elles de petites décorations faites main que j'ai utilisé pour réaliser une nouvelle couronne.

I have already told you about the advent calendar Soline has given to me, I used some of her homemade gifts to make a new wreath.

For this twelfth CC post...  

Back from our holidays in Alsace since last Monday afternoon and so many things to do. Unpacking, cleaning, washing, shopping... and keeping some free hours for more Christmas DIY!

First I had to reorganise my village to welcome new neighbours...

We found in Haguenau market a stall selling the same porcelain houses we already had, so many choices, how to decide, finally we chose a blue one and a green one.

Le stand à ne pas manquer sur le marché d'Haguenau : les petites maisons en porcelaine, difficile de choisir car elles étaient toutes très belles, nous avons acheté une maison bleue et une verte. Le centre ville de notre village s'étoffe et accueille de nouveaux habitants.

For this eleventh CC post...   felt ornaments

Retour sur mes bricolages de Noël en feutrine. Trois petites machines à coudre, un hérisson et un essai pour mes fans de chats. Ce petit minou caché dans un sapin pas si facile que cela à découper et (pour cacher un peu les rondeurs de ses joues) habillé d'un noeud papillon.

Three sewing machines are done for family and friends, one hedgehog and a new pattern.

I have seen this funny cat in a tree on the net and wanted to try it for DD2 big fan of cats.

The cutting of the head in the felt is so small and not so easy. I thought my cat looks a little bit chubby so I add a bow tie to hide its cheeks. I sewed a tail in the back and a small sequin bauble between its paws.

I have another wip, it's something like the sewing machine but it's a kind of robot mixer. The bowl is a small thimble I'll attach on the base . I want to add some buttons too.

L'autre essai en feutrine est un robot mixer dans le même style de fabrication que la machine à coudre. Je l'ai monté sur un socle, ajouté un petit dé à coudre comme bol et je réfléchis encore sur les boutons à coller en façade.

To do something else, I spent some time on homemade cards.

This time like "les petites" from Cristiana Bellini.

Un peu de cartonnage pour changer, deux fillettes confectionnant un bonhomme de neige à la manière de la série "des petites" de Cristiani Bellini.

We are leaving tomorrow for some holidays.

I'm taking some knitting in my suitcases and I'm sure I'll bring back lovely Christmas ornaments ideas from Alsace. 

Demain départ pour l'Alsace, j'emporte seulement un peu de tricot/crochet dans mes valises mais nul doute que les vitrines là-bas et les magnifiques décors des villes me donneront plein d'idées.

Good news today is the big day... I'm allowed to open the lovely bag I received from my goddaughter. Thanks to Virginie and her daughter Soline! Let's take a look to the  and read my first note.

My Christmas village isn't full finished yet but most of the trees, buildings, train and lights are out waiting for a new staging

Today was a quiet day, I only spend some time on cutting and gluing fabric on paper squares for a next to be tree for my JJ

and on cards.

A present to myself... the new Jacquie Lawson advent calendar

this year it's a lovely cottage under the snow!

En ce premier jour de l'avent, un petit paquet à ouvrir après avoir relevé le défi contenu dans l'enveloppe du 1er décembre : prendre une photo d'un oiseau par la fenêtre. Des biscuits roses comme récompense !

Une petite boule sur laquelle cliquer pour la première scénette du nouveau calendrier de l'avent de chez Jacquie Lawson, je me suis fait un petit plaisir !
