TRICK OR TREAT BLOG HOP 2021

Welcome to the "Trick or Treat" Blog Hop hosted by Jo from Serendipitious Stitching.

https://serendipitousstitching.blogspot.com/2021/10/halloween-trick-or-treat-blog-hop-2021.html

So, you're here to collect a letter...

It's the house witch, made in the 80es by my Mum, who'll give it to you.

I recently made a pumpkin and a scarecrow for the small felt vegetable garden in progress,

that's what I'm sharing
with you this year.

When your mystery phrase is done, you'll have to go back to Jo's blog and let a comment.

Happy hunting!

Now, here is the next blog to visit

GIFTED GORGEOUSNESS 10/21

It's always nice to make gifts
nice too to receive some
and use them in our stitching projects.

It's great and fun to show all this and the perfect place is on Jo's blog Serendipitous Stitching on the 15th of each month for the Gifted Gorgeousness post.

For the kids, I'm always working with felt for small food.

There are two scales for me, one for the girls to play cooking and a smaller one for my fabric dolls Violette (s).

Before go in the kitchen, it would be fun harvesting vegetables.

A lot of inspiring felt work on the internet and some lovely vegetable gardens. Ground is made with brown felt and you can insert the roots between two rolls of fabric.

I'm trying to have a right scale to turn Violette into a gardener.

I'd love to make an apron, some tools, a basket, flowers and vegetables and a scarecrow. I planed to make new vegetables : leeks, cauliflower, carrots, pumpkin, red beet, salads.

Here are my first attempts :

My first cauliflower was too small and the pumpkin was too big, I must keep in mind to check the scale with the silhouette of the hand of the doll.

On the net there is felt pond too, so cute with waterlilies flowers and that's one more idea on my list now.

I recently bought some tiny fish buttons I could use on the water! I have to think about this new project.

Une petite mare pourrait également me tenter.

On one picture there are geese and frogs which remind me I made felt white geese long time ago and have some more already cut in a WIP bag somewhere. I found it in less than five minutes which is a big sign!

The patterns are ok with the doll size.

Can't wait to start a new work for October and it has to be a Christmas pattern.

As birthday gifts I have received last May the pattern of an Angel from Brooke's Books and a brown antique perforated paper.

I have started with the white color of the apron, then with two red from my stash.

Here is today update

Advent season will be soon here, with lot of ideas for Christmas ornaments to give to friends, so surely more tiny felt pullovers, gnomes and home made cards.

YOU CHOOSE 10/21

Perfect theme for a first Autumn post, as "leaves" have been chosen by the People...

It's time for the You Choose SAL from Jo, you'll find here

https://serendipitousstitching.blogspot.com/2021/10/the-people-chose-leaves.html

all the friends who are participating in this event and will share with you beautiful leaves made in so many ways.

So take a seat maybe a cup of tea (with true leaves in your teapot!).

I'll begin with some leaves of lily of the valley

A daffodil opening a springtime alphabet book, a little gardener pruning his boxwoods in my goose game, maybe I should have add some crosses on the ground.

Quelques feuilles des plantes variées,
some leaves from varieted plants

On "Autumn" old WIP, some 1 on 1 leaves patterns

Some holly leaves in winter and Christmas stitchings.

It's Autumn season on this lovely fabric I used for the back of this cushion.

Cross stitched leaves

on the Village Quaker

On napkins, placemats, straight stitch.

Now in the garden,   un petit tour au jardin

in the kitchen, pineapple and artichoke leaves

Some tiny felt salad leaves for a doll grocery shop

Made in felt, some oak leaves among other bush leaves

Leaves on watercolor cards.         Un peu d'aquarelle maintenant.

Couverture réalisée en polaire mauve pour Soline- A blanket made with fleece material for Soline

Those are the more recent leaves I have cut for a pop up birthday card.
Plantes d'intérieur pour carte d'anniversaire pop up.

Not so much leaves on those trees, but here it's the same word for the book pages so the sheets of paper of the books can be added.

With autumn coming, the leaves are falling from the trees, unfortunately this was the case on my Cuore & Batticuore cross stitch WIP, I have just noticed that there was a mistake on the right tree so I'll have to redo it one thread down.

A look to the sky to end this post with some kites made with leaves during the Dieppe Intertional Festival.

Des feuilles qui sous les doigts habiles
des participants se transforment
en cerfs-volants.
