ZODIAC SAL VIERGE

We have had a great tour around Zodiac with Jo this past 12 months

ZODIAC sal is ending with Virgo sign today
As you'll see it's the same word in French Virgo/virgin

First work to post on is my Nativity scene, I took it off the basket for the occasion.

It's a chart from "Un chat dans l'aiguille", I have started three of the four scenes

Cet ouvrage réalisé il y a déjà quelque temps attendait d'être encadré et je voulais réaliser un cadre pour utiliser mes tissus de Noël à moindre coût.

Voilà, le résultat "fait maison" me convient.

I have done this stitching some years ago and it was waiting for a frame. Some Christmas fabric to be used and a cheap home made frame which suit me.

Le lion nous offre tant de d'illustrations que je n'ai pas travaillé assez pour toutes les présenter,

néanmoins voici celles retenues :

A well-known fable of Jean de la Fontaine is named : the Lion and the Rat

The lion is trapped in a net and needs the help of the rat

This net will give me an update for my two fishing nets full of seashells and starfish

Il est prévu des prises "négatives" qui viendront se déduire du calcul total, certainement les méduses et les requins !

I know already that values will be given to fishes at random at the start of each game.

Sometimes players will have to go fishing with "traps" : the "pirate" turn wearing a blindfold or with the eyes closed, with your left hand if you're right handed, the "tilt and roll" turn on one feet after five twirls may be, miss a turn if you got a net instead of a fish. Sharks and jellyfish will give negative points to be deducted at the end.

Mes recherches sur de possibles iconographies m'ont amenées à découvrir que la constellation du cancer est représentée sur la pièce de cinquante centimes d'Euros de Slovénie !

Searching for some unusual pictures of Cancer constellation I discovered that it was on a coin, 50 cents of Euros from Slovenia, how interesting!

ZODIAC SAL GEMEAUX and UPDATES

Signe des Gémeaux - 21 mai - 20 juin

Nous nous retrouvons en ce début du mois de juin pour le rendez-vous zodiacal avec les Gémeaux.
Les journées de mai se sont envolées mais avec quand même quelques loisirs : jouer avec mes petits enfants, jardinage, dessin, peinture et broderie.

If someone knows where May month disappeared...

Leasure time spent playing with the grandchildren, gardening, drawing, painting and... still doing some stitching...

As DH is gemni and one of the two grandparents, "The great family" from Isabelle Haccourt Vautier is going to illustrate this post

You'll see I kept my shoehorn near to me, with my lotto/memory game included to this post with twin squares of fabric...

Moving off basting thread

It is not a neat work, hard to sew fabric with (against ?) fleece fabric. I hope kids won't mind zig-zag aren't very pretty.

Zodiac is about stars, isn't it? So Ursa Minor is glad to present you a finish, the sixth stall of the Christmas Market from Brin par Brin has now a fabric back, that means my Market is all done.
