GIFTED GORGEOUSNESS 04/19

Voici déjà mi-avril et un nouveau rendez-vous pour le Gifted Gorgeousness.

Already the 15th of a new month, time for an update of the Gifted Gorgeousness, all about this SAL on Jo's blog :

http://serendipitousstitching.blogspot.com/

New update on loto, I had to sew two bags for the little fabric squares

Back to cross stitch...

I added eyes, mouth, socks, shoes, belt and the parcel to Santa Klaus on this character from a serie of six from Cuore & Batticuore.

I'm disappointed with the snow I stitched on the tree, I tried to mix white and fluorescent and the result is : you don't see the snow on the tree. This have to be solved.

And now, some news from my next journey around France,

Once more, I'd like to invite you to a litlle trip, to visit some French towns, as in previous "travel game" I organized in 2015 and 2017. The first one was on stitching/sewing theme, the second one was on authors/books theme, this time I had the idea of : toy / game theme (maybe it was the 15th of the month/GG day or Christmas time).

So I gave instructions to my grey cells : back to childhood, remember your favorite games/toys, wake up your memories, add some kids updates. Open your map, choose towns with funny links to the theme, imagine clues and riddles for steps and select characters to lead the way. Printer, pencils, watercolors, brushes, camera, laptop are all you need now that the storyboard is written.

THE PEOPLE CHOOSE 04/19

April theme from Jo's SAL is  "speciality stitches"

http://serendipitousstitching.blogspot.com/2019/04/the-people-chose-speciality-stitches.html

so right times to update an embroidery I'm working on, no cross on this one.

Among the WIP is the kit from "Un chat dans l'aiguille" named "Quand Noël s'en mêle"

It's a kind of hanging with four scenes on white linen fabric
and the back on red fabric.
I have already begun three scenes : Santa Klaus, the Nativity
and the sleigh.

Here are my progress on the sleigh
