YOU CHOOSE 12/22

First Saturday of December means that I'd like to post about a topic chosen by our stitching friends. This SAL is run by Jo from Serendipitous Stitching, it's about what you want to see on the blog.

https://serendipitousstitching.blogspot.com/

This month theme is :  Glitter

Always nice to add glitter to your DIY!

I put some on the Advent Calendar to make the snow shiny.

Some pink glitter on the felt flowers and green on the leaves for DD1 birthday pop up card.

Silver glitter on cardboard for some tiny cooking accessories
for a U shape card kitchen themed

A l'année prochaine !

A treasure chest can't be without glitter.

Last post for 2022, bye bye You choose 2022, I hope our hands will still be busy next year and we will continue to choose all together great themes to see on the blogs.

Thanks to Jo, see you next year!

N° 5

This post will be about the Advent Calendars
I have made this year

I chose to use two 24x32 cm sheets of white paper
to be able to draw doors about  4 cm/ 6 cm

It was fun to look for different doors : some in wood, some in glass,
tagged, armoured, with plants, bed and breakfast, shop...

Of course, soon I thought it was obvious that Jo's door
for her Advent Hop have to be one of them.
I started a second one for her to celebrate her amazing
Online Advent Calendar I don't miss since 2014

Then the theme of skying seems perfect for the season

and a Christmas market chalet required

I added some watercolor and change the horse box for a reindeer one!

I opened some doors and put some tiny ornaments

Never tagged a door before! Merry Street Art! Toc, Toc c'est le Père Noël !

Some mirror paper glued in the back to attach tiny decorations.

Some glitter, gold and silver paint.

Here are the two pages glued on a cardboard folder
closed by ribbons

I didn't think to add the dates, no more space after the drawings were done! You'll have to wait to see what is hidden behind the five doors, it will come soon the first in on the December the 9th.

N° 4

For Christmas, inspired by some crafts I have seen on the net
an adorable dessert glass bell dish.

Here are the two models I made with a golden nail polish on the edges of the bell and a bow

Last May (that's what the pictures said...) I started some bodies for gnome to be... and put them aside for some other projects!

Good news, the gnomes are back!

some finishing touches : braid to be redone, beard to be trimmed, addition of a braid and a bell, adjustment of the cap.

Here is our first guest (now I must find him a name)

WIPOCALYPSE 11/22

Time to share with Melissa and the Wipocalypse family the projects we want to complete before the end of the world.

On FB or

https://measi.net/

October was busy with eyes surgery so I have only stitched on my one year of stitching and ended the month without WIPO post.

The wind was waiting for DH kite and I added another one hexagonal

We met Mochi (DD3 cat) and set up a new water collector
I chose this Egyptian eye for my first surgery

The last play we saw was about Marie Curie (Ra and Po)

We often went to the cinema, I'll try to find some tiny patterns
to illustrate all the movies between the 2 lines as a roll of film

like for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes festival
(triangle of sadness - golden palm)

November will be about our Japan Expo visit,
attending Louis Chedid concert

my new red glasses and the xmas DIY ornaments

The BOO cover was 277/324 at the end of October
and Boo was happy to participate to Jo's Halloween blog hop!

Only 4 more squares but as we are watching the football,
I'm back on knitting and a future car travel will help me too.

My first attempts since the implants and new glasses are not
satisfactory, I lost my closer view and can't see right for stitching
linen I have to test with a magnifier for embroidery.

This month topic is : When do you begin planning your stitching goals for the next year?

No real "year plan", I see more my to do list like a river growing with its  tributaries (new projects) with a flow regulated with the finishes without real dated schedule. However the last week of the year, after the Christmas rush is usually the right time to think about the "forgotten projects in the basket" and see what can get a second chance or a new life.
