PETIT TOUR A BEAUGENCY

 Petite sortie hier vers Beaugency pour un déjeuner au restaurant "Chez Henri II" puis une ballade dans le bourg et visite d'une expo de photos de Robert Doisneau sur le thème des grandes vacances.

 Yesterday, we took a short trip to Beaugency for lunch at the restaurant “Chez Henri II,” followed by a visit through the village to an exhibition of Robert Doisneau's photographs on the theme of summer vacations.

Déjeuner délicieux composé d'une terrine de cochon accompagnée d'une gelée de cornichons et de pain maison, effiloché de canard aux légumes croquants et carpaccio d'ananas confit au citron et gingembre avec sorbet de mangue.

Still on my "time themed" Junk Journal page, I'm stitching a clock.

Quelques progrès sur ma montre au point de croix.

I have also found some tiny stickers (probably kept for more than 30 years, from a cheese box)  those six little images with a lion having some troubles with clocks! It make me thought of a comic strip and I got the idea of gluing them on a black stripe to look like the negative of a film.

Don't know yet if I'll fold it or keep it like this.

J'ai retrouvé des autocollants publicitaires trouvés au siècle dernier dans une boîte de fromages ! De petites vignettes représentant un gentil lion ayant pas mal de soucis avec des horloges. La taille des images m'a fait penser aux images d'un film et j'ai voulu les présenter comme un négatif. 

Initialement je pensais plier la bande et la glisser dans une pochette mais elle me plait également telle qu'elle est. A voir.

J'ai enfin réalisé mon pliage en escargot avec 7 rectangles pliés en deux en suivant un tuto sur YT

J'ai pensé l'utiliser plus tard pour présenter des échantillons de tissus dans lesquels j'ai cousu des vêtements il y a plusieurs années.

I have also finished my handybag (same pattern I use for birthday cards)

with one front pocket.

Le patron de ma carte "sac à main" sera utilisé cette fois pour un livret sac à ajouter dans mon JJ.

Not sure I posted about courgettes spaghettis, it's so easy to cook.

I'm not a big fan of courgettes, but I often cooked them in gratin with ham or stuffed. I tested spaghettis in a restaurant and became addict.

Au menu ce mois-ci les tomates farcies

les pieds du jardin donnent différentes variétés et grosseurs

Ma farce sera faite d'un mélange d'échine de porc ajoutée à de la viande de boeuf hachée, oignons, persil et bien sûr riz de Camargue pour l'absorption du jus des tomates et du gruyère rapé.

DD3's birthday card will be a wardrobe and is ready for early September

I put the finished touches on the little dresses

I'm back on my "honey pot" card

to make it again and prepare 2026

I have cut eight pot faces and I'm coloring the edges with my distress oxide using my homemade stamp from a champagne cork covered with a recycled wipe.

Next cards will be for DSiL1 and DDiL2 in November

so I got times for new ideas...

But not too many as October will bring the "Countdown the Christmas"

La carte d'anniversaire d'Eve-Amélie sera une armoire au décor pastèque bien sûr ! Elle est prête pour début septembre, en attendant, j'ai ressorti mon modèle "pot de miel" pour en refaire pour 2026. Viendront ensuite celles pour novembre qui restent à imaginer. Il faut que je garde aussi en tête que fin octobre annoncera le début du compte à rebours de Noël.

Now some updates of my stitching WIP

I need DMC 3364 and 898 to finish the dress

and I usually keep the metallic thread for the end of the work

I'm using E 3824 thread as the pattern don't give a conversion to aztec gold from Kreinik

then I found a mistake... one extra row misplaced on the bottom of the dress.  A little frogging to do.

j'ai commencé les rangs en doré métallique.

Lavander this year isn't as pretty as last year, so my spindles

are quite skinny

We met my aunt and cousins today and I thought it would give small gifts to offer but they really look poor. 

Then I remembered that last year I have made some lavander girls so back to tulle, lace and ribbons.

Hats are crocheted with 1.25 mm crochet and coton perlé n° 8 (killing your eyes)

Mes fuseaux de lavande sont rachitiques, cette année, les fleurs étant assez pauvres en grain.

Mes fuseaux sont donc modestes, mais mes deux petites demoiselles n'en souffrent pas trop et vont partir vers la Tarentaise et le Maine.
