JJJ 27 LE JEUDI DU JUNK JOURNAL

 

The last tuto from Treasure Books that I watched was about pyramidal mini albums. As I needed to offer myself a little unscheduled treat, I made two with some ancient egypt patterns paper I have bought for a next Junk Journal dedicated to Egypt of the Pharaohs. The first will have four pages.

 

Le dernier tuto de Treasure Books que j'ai visionné concernait de mini albums pyramides très mignons et j'avais besoin d'un petit plaisir hors programme. En sachant que j'aimerai fabriquer un junk journal sur le thème de l'égypte ancienne ce sera parfait.

Premier essai avec un petit modèle centré confectionné avec 4 livrets.

Deuxième choix : le montage en zigzag

L'occasion d'utiliser de vieux cartons d'un ancien album du bureau présentant des installations électriques, tout d'abord décoller les photos, puis trier les cartons noirs de qualités différentes.

Six pochettes assemblées en inversant l'ouverture et en intercalant des carrés colorés.

I need a lot of black paper so it's the perfect time to use some old sheets of light cardboards from an old album from my office with old photos of electrical installations.

The six pockets are glued together reversing the opening sides and inserting colored papers.

Les cartons ont parfois été abimés lors du décollage des photos et l'intérieur des pochettes sera habillé de papier ou cartes. Je rajouterai également de mini ornements comme dans l'exemple montré par Natasa.

Some of the old black cardboards have been dammaged when I have taken off the photos so inside the pockets I'll glue some papers or cards.

Natasa also shows one album on which she adds tiny ornies between the sheets of paper. It's lovely so I'll make some small tassels pompoms, ansate cross, maybe sew beads. 

The countdown to Christmas will give me the perfect moment to put a new JJ on my list : a Christmas Junk Journal!

All the family and friends cards I kept, great memories, kids photos, ads, menus, nice gifts papers, Santas, really need to gather in an album I will like to open during the winter season!

So to make the signatures, back to my bags of papers, envelops, cardboards, fabrics to cut pages I'll sew together.

Cette période de Countdown to Christmas va me donner le prétexte parfait pour ajouter un JJ sur ma liste : un Junk Journal de Noël !

L'occasion de rassembler en un ouvrage à feuilleter toutes ces jolies cartes reçues pour les fêtes, souvenirs de famille et d'amis, photos, Père Noël, chromos, pubs de marchés de Noël etc...

Première étape : assembler papiers, cartons, enveloppes, tissus pour réaliser les signatures.

For the second CC post I want to go back to some homemade gifts I have already made for Soline. We'll visit my family in a few days and maybe you remember that last year I have been able to make an Advent Calendar for Soline, I have brought it to her grand mother to be deliver on December the 1st with some succes.

Not enough time to make a new one this year but I have prepared some "DIY kits" with Christmas ideas :

- the skating scene

- a felt candle

- the tassel Christmas tree

- folded paper ornaments

- the crocheted candy cane / lollipop

- the winter scene

This skating scene is made with a circle cut into a blue silver paper, you add cotton around the edges and glue a character with a ribbon to show the skate marks on the ice.

Then classic folded pendants cut in some old book pages and candy cane or lollypop made from crocheted white and red cord.

Small tassels made with cheap green thread I can't use for stitching

will be attach on a cardboard for a Christmas tree design card.

Some classic felt candles

and a snowed winter landscape to build as you want

Premier article consacré aux kits conçus pour Soline.

L'an passé, je lui avais fabriqué un calendrier de l'avent que nous

avions pu confier à sa grand mère pour une distribution le 1er décembre.

Pour notre prochaine visite, pas assez de temps et d'idées pour renouveler l'opération mais je voulais néanmoins lui apporter de petites surprises et connaissant sa créativité je lui ai préparé six paquets de fourniture pour six projets de bricolage :

bougie en feutrine, scène hivernale, patinoire, pendouilles en papier plié, sapin en pompons glands et tricotin pour sucettes.

Last year I imagined some new patterns to celebrate 2024 events

as the reopening of Notre Dame or Léon (Noel) Marchand in the Paris Olympic Games

and other funny ideas came too with a button fish why not a small fish tank

or a tiny letter to Santa and a train

L'an passé j'ai célébré quelques évènements comme la réouverture de Notre Dame

et ajouté un train, un aquarium et la lettre au Père Noël

En vrac quelques idées anciennes à refaire :

guirlande, moufles, champagne, noeud cadeau, boule à neige, dindon, homard

et de nouvelles à tester si le format d'environ 3cm/3cm s'y prête :

flocon, vache, renard, bretzel, houx, verre, 

patins, pôle nord, bougie, tasse, lutin, glaces...

Here are a few old ideas to make again : 
garland, mittens, champagne, gift bow, snow globe, lobster, turkey, 

and some new ones to try (if I find a way to put them into 3cm/3cm)  :
bretzel, snowflake, North pole, holly, elf, candle, mug, ice cream

fox, cow, skates, drinks...

A simple pop up heart sent to Denise for her 97th birthday

I was in the right mood for homemade cards so my November cards are ready to go, two new designs

for DSiL1, big fan of HP I made an owl

I'll add a small envelop under the beak with some money.

Chouette un nouveau modèle à tester pour l'anniversaire d'un grand fan d'Harry Potter. Très amusant à dessiner puis réaliser. Une petite enveloppe viendra se glisser sous son bec avec un budget cadeau.

J'étais d'humeur à tester un autre nouveau modèle pour Aude

j'ai choisi de mettre mes voeux en pot pour l'occasion.

Confection d'une petite guirlande avec son prénom glissée

dans un pot découpé, bouchon en carton liège.

The next card will be Soline's 10 years birthday at the end of the year

and I want to make, again, a three parts cards

(Christmas on 25th / birthday on 30th / New Year 1st)

and I got my idea on the net...    for a big birthday a trip to the fair

for the birthday day I have chosen the carroussel

Il me reste pour cette fin d'année une carte à fabriquer pour Soline

de nouveau le choix d'un triptyque pour fêter Noël, son anniversaire

et le nouvel an.

Pour changer cette année je vais l'emmener faire un tour à la fête foraine, un tour sur le grand huit, un manège et une grande roue.

Enfin voici mes chauve souris prêtes à décoller pour rejoindre

et aller s'accrocher chez mes petits enfants

Enfin, quelques points de plus sur mon point de croix : la dame à la licorne pour les bouquets de mille-fleurs.

I'm stitching the mille-fleurs on top of the Lady and the unicorn.

Now it's time for a serious talk!

You know I can't wait to start Christmas countdown and originally

my official date was on Saturday October the 25th

but...   fingers crossed we are planning some holidays visiting my cousin Christine from 10/23, so I'll be busy with family and 

what a better reason for an earlier start!

So save the date...    On Saturday October the 18th

I'm going to announce my Christmas Countdown plans for 2025!

Vous pouvez deviner aisément que je suis impatiente de commencer

mon compte à rebours de Noël.

Initialement prévu pour le 25 octobre je l'ai avancé d'une semaine

puisque nous partons passer quelques vacances chez ma cousine.

Donc retenez cette date : le samedi 18 octobre 2025 

pour l'annonce officielle de mes projets !
