Before my sewing and crocheting updates, I want to thank Kelly, Jennifer, Lisa, Mimi and all the friends who meet in the House of Lambspun every day knitting, crocheting, spinning. They help me to progress on my WIP and to remain focus on my goals.
Unfortunately the amazing yarn shop in Fort Connor is only existing in Maggie Sefton mystery novel I'm reading in the morning. But really to start my day surrounded by these women and their bags full of wool, circle or double pointed needles is great!
I'll start with my crocheted granny squares sleepers. After a first try too large, I have made smaller squares and crocheted them together, the size is better.
And even if I made some mistakes counting the rows, everything is ok now I only have to hide and cut all the ends of the wool threads. Then I want to crochet one or more edge rows for a nice finish.
My WIP is a summer dress made with a panel of flowered fabric on which I'm sewing braces on a strip of fabric.
Then I thought I could make with small crocheted squares a kind of top to cover the white fabric. Something removable to be easy to wash.
I have crocheted the squares all around the top and to cover the braces.
I had this weird idea of making crocheted braces (on and underside) in which I could slide the fabric straps. I gave it a try but it's very thick not sure I'll keep this idea. First I want to add a kind of shell stitch for a nice finish and then I'll see how many yarn is left.
