THE PEOPLE CHOOSE 04/21

With the Easter week-end, I'm late for the "Let the people choose" SAL and this month it's blue...

Let see what kind of blue are we talking about. Here, it can be linked to navy, France, slate, duck, night, royal, petrol, cart, sapphire and a lot of inspiring things.

Tant de nuances de bleu associées au ciel, à la marine, à la nuit, du bleu saphir au bleu canard, du bleu pétrole au bleu charrette, des rois aux ardoises etc...

Quelques morceaux choisis parmi les ouvrages en point compté : village quaker, un bleuet, de la laine layette bleue tricotée.

I will begin with one of my favorite cross stitch the Village Quaker from Jardin privé with two kinds of slate blues.

Blue jean deserves to be part of this month post. Une pochette en blue jean pour ranger le nécessaire de couture de DD2.

De la toile Aïda bleue pour des anges, un chat patineur et même ce marque-page d'Halloween.

Blue fabric of course, angels and a skating cat, even an Halloween bookmark.

The color will be part of my next Tour de France, twice... so keep those two clues for future references.

As bells coming back from Rome bring eggs in our gardens here

I have loved to make one those past years

This year I wanted to make one with string

it is not fully finished, I'd love to add more ribbons

pearls or some glitter (all in green and cream colors)

so here is the BIP "bell in progress"

J'aime bien en confectionner pour cette occasion, en tissu les années précédentes et pour 2021 un nouveau modèle en cordelette. Les finitions restent à faire, plus de rubans, de perles ou de paillettes, de couleur verte et crème.

L'organisation de cette 4ème édition progresse doucement,

sans pouvoir vous donner encore de calendrier précis, 

j'espère néanmoins annoncer son départ avant l'été.

as this 4th edition is still one of my WIP.

No precise date yet but I hope I'll be able to announce

its departure before the summer.

This time the theme will be :  painters and colours

Each step will lead you to a town with a "colour" name

to which I have associated a painter

Like during Tours 1/2/3 you'll get clues two days per week

and the solution on the Sunday with plenty of illustrations

in stitching, sewing, knitting and all DIY.

Comme pendant les tours précédents, vous aurez des indices

pour découvrir des peintres et des villes

GIFTED GORGEOUSNESS 02/21

 Some updates in cross stitching, DIY miniatures for the kid's dolls and watercolor this month for the Gifted Gorgeousness hosted by Jo :

Father Christmas had brought me a chocolate goose game I can't wait to play-eat" the next time we'll have our grandchildren for holidays. I often showed my cross stitched goose game, it's a free pattern I started long ago. 

I decided to give different designs in the squares to make them more personnalized with my hobbies. So I already stitched about gardening, writing, painting, sewing... sometimes I chose to adapt small patterns after checking they are ok with the frame of the square.

Sheryl who sew after seven,  also read magazines and have found some lovely game patterns very inspiring she was kind enough to send me.

Great fan of maps and world globe I found the theme of the square n° 39 a very good idea and adapted it for my own frame. I have selected the sailboat too.

I started with the boat and I'm pleased with the result.

After making knackis with the clothes line, felt salmon and ham, I have some progress on the tiny groceries for the Violette (s) dolls.

Some paper towels, potatoes chips and French fries, coffee bags, rice, more salads, pizzas, 

With a chocolate box I thought I might make a little shop for Soline. First and easiest thing to do : eat the chocolates... then search in scrapbooking cardboards a lovely design to make some shelves and stick them into the box. Add a handle made with a cord to help her open the box.

With a cork of a wine bottle I thought of making a tiny pineapple with green and yellow felt.

Now the shelves are well filled with magazines and groceries.
