Two big finishes in crochet for this month of March!

First, my hexagone sweater for DD3. Remember it all begun with my wish to make Granny squares in crochet and asked the three girls if something could pleased them.

DD3 came with this picture and my squares turned to hexagones.

Here she is!

I chose for DD2 a secret project of a "cats" cushion after seen one on the net. I let you waiting for the ninth cat last GG post and it's a silver one ready for clubbing. I have made a white rank around each square and crocheted them all together. I'll problably came back with more details next month.

I made a cushion in an old pillowcase and sewed the piece of wool on a grey/black pillowcase so she'll be able to wash it. 

I hope she'll come soon visit us and like it.

I have finished the bottom of the pattern of my unicorn.

Question of the Month:  What colors – and brands – of floss do you love using? Do you have a particular color that you absolutely love?

I always stitch with DMC thread, no particular color, I most often follow the colors suggested with the pattern but sometimes I'm tempted (not to buy more threads) to take a close color from my stash (I most often regret it).

delivering Easter eggs in our gardens.

I love to participate to this blog hop and make something special on Easter theme. I had this quilling kit in my drawers for a long time, why not trying to build a bell!

The paper strips are barely 3 mm wide and I want to be able to hang it so I couldn't glue it on a paper shape so the ornament is very fragile and as a first try it looks more like a dress than a bell! Whatever it's my Easter decoration.

JJJ 3 LE JEUDI DU JUNK JOURNAL

Quatrième jeudi de mars et voici l'occasion de vous montrer mes progrès concernant mon Junk Journal Couture.

Update on my Junk Journal, working on the strings that attach the signatures which needed tightening. I have put beads on them outside and glue them on the cover inside.

Retour sur ma couverture faite dans une ancienne reliure. J'ai pu enfiler des perles rocailles dans les tons verts et rentrer les différents fils qui sont attachés à l'intérieur. 

J'avais acheté sans but précis un très joli papier décoré lors du dernier salon DIY et en séparant en deux pièces cette grande feuille cela va me donner la possibilité de fabriquer deux double pochettes qui seront collées sur les faces internes de la couverture.

Sélection de washi tape parmi quelques rouleaux disponibles dans mon stock.

This lovely paper I bought last January with no goal will be perfect folded to provide two pockets. A blue metallic washi tape from my stash for a final touch.

Pour notre rendez-vous du jeudi, quelques pliages vu sur le net et utilisés très souvent dans les tutos de Junk Journaling.

Some folding techniques will be great to test for my Junk Journal, to create some pockets, to hide tiny treasures or to show in a fun way some small images or maybe stitchings... and maybe get involved in the "Smalls SAL".

Côté pages, voici comment j'utilise les napperons en papier et les cartons de boulangerie. L'idée m'étant venue à cause de cette photo de tasse remplie de boutons que j'avais découpé dans un magazine, je voulais la présenter joliment.

This is how I have used some paper doilies.

I cut the picture of this elegant "cup of buttons" in a magazine and wanted to show it nicely.

Those pages will give some nice shapes in the journal and add a link to lace.

Les jours filent et le printemps est là, nous donnant l'occasion de sortir faire quelques ballades...

La semaine dernière, nous sommes allés visiter le château de Talcy.

Les jardins sont encore en habits hivernaux mais les intérieurs sont très jolis et les collections présentées ont été miraculeusement préservées depuis le XVIIème siècle.

Puis les familles Burgeat, Gastebois et enfin Stapfer - protestants Suisses.

Pierre de Ronsard y écrivit son poème "Mignonne allons voir si la rose" (1545).

Théodore Agrippa d'Aubigné y trouva refuge en 1572.
