Today we are going to Couze et Saint Front to visit

a paper mill, re-opened as a museum in 2008

A small village in the south of the Dordogne, situated some twenty kilometres east of Bergerac, Couze-et-Saint-Front was home to as many as 13 paper mills in the late 14th century, all situated within just a few kilometres of the river known as the Couze.

It shows how the sheets of paper were hang up to dry

Less than one hour east, close to Sarlat, is the castle of Puymartin

One big room is showing the legend of the White Lady

The display cases full of miniature toys naturally caught my eye.

Another nice room called the "Artémis room"

Then it was time for a cool homemade mango iced tea

and a lunch in the pop-up restaurant

Les pièces sont bien meublées, fleuries, ornées de peintures et de tapisseries et très documentées.

Au pied du château, un restaurant éphémère est le bienvenu !
