Retour dans l'ateliers des lutins pour ce troisième article sur mes réalisations spéciales Noël.

Back in the elves workshop for this third update on my Christmas DIY.

Fully finish for two not so ugly pullovers : adding golden whiskers to my little cat and bubbles and stickers to the Champagne bottle.

Quelques finitions sur mes pulls, de belles moustaches dorées pour mon petit chat et bulles et étiquettes pour la bouteille de Champagne.

Now I'm back on the DIY theme, this time : knitting

Last year I didn't manage to finish the wool balls. Easy to make, you only have to wrap wool around the ball and make two wood needles with small skewers.

I like to use the Rico wool "Creative Bubble" for Christmas ornaments.

Those are made with the ball I call rainbow.

For the smaller one I use plastic accessories for bun.

Voici de petites boules de Noël spéciales tricoteuse pour ma guirlande d'escalier, simples à faire en enroulant de la laine (Rico - créative bubble pastel) autour d'une boule et en ajoutant des aiguilles (réalisées à base de brochettes de bois et perles ou des piques à chignon en plastique).

Stiching is not comfy yet without the right glasses so I'm more on crafting.

On the net I have seen an adorable dessert glass bell dish.

Could be fun to make some as Christmas gifts to put with my cards.

Cutting and decorating the different parts was easy enough now I need to find a suitable and efficient way to glue the glass bell. As it's supposed to be a shaking card maybe add some tape between the two plastic sheets to get enough space for the stars, sequins and cakes to move.

Dans la multitude des décos montrées sur le net, j'ai repéré d'adorables cloches à dessert contenant de jolis beignets que j'aimerais bien tester cette année.

Découpage et déco des différentes parties assez facile maintenant il faut que je trouve un collage de la cloche adapté et efficace. Il me faudra certainement ajouter un ruban entre les deux feuilles de plastique pour que l'effet carte à secouer soit bien et permette aux étoiles, sequins et gâteaux de bouger correctement.

After the cataract surgery I had eye drops to put three times a day what's better than a "what can I do with those empty pods" challenge

tubes of cream, toothpaste, soap and frying pans for a cheese raclette machine (still under study - made with two metal lids)

 I have started my countdown DIY ornaments

Some felt Christmas gifts :

some cappuccino cups, I can only show you the cream tops...

On the drawing board, I'm not on my watercolor TdF5 paintings because I have a new project about Advent period after a few months of "birthday cards fever".

I love Advent calendars, opening those small doors to find some surprises behind them or only to start the day is a big fun.

J'ai un peu posé mes pinceaux pour le TdF5 pour un nouveau projet de calendrier de l'avent dessiné inspiré par une carte vue sur le net.

I have seen this card on the web and have felt immediatly the "want to do something like this" feeling.

Can't wait to get started, no idea of what would be the final look, I knew that selecting 25 different doors and drawing them will be fun, but it will be too hard to open them all, maybe only a few of them.

After some measurements, I decided it will need two sheets of 24x32 cm to draw 24 doors and the Christmas day big one.

Different materials, different styles or uses: glass door, armoured, tagged, art nouveau, shop, barn, French window...

Sans idée arrêtée sur la présentation finale, me voici choisissant 24 modèles de petites portes plus une grande pour le jour de Noël à arranger et dessiner sur deux feuilles 24x32 cm.

Différents matériaux, différents styles ou usages : porte vitrée, blindée, taguée, art nouveau, magasin, étable, porte-fenêtre...

That's all I can share today with you because after this first step of looking for different shapes of doors and having fun adapting them to my taste...

Then came new ideas :

Can I cut some and what to find after opening them, can I link it to something more personal, should I put watercolor and maybe some tiny ornaments for a small 3D effect more Christmassy, how to finish it and make it stand up?

and it's always there that things get complex!

Let's just say that I thought it would be fun to made one for a friend I think of when I think about Advent calendar!

Après les brouillons et le traçage à l'encre, vinrent de nouveaux questionnements : dois-je les colorer, ajouter des minis décos, en ouvrir certaines et donc que mettre derrière, quelle finition choisir et comment faire tenir tout cela debout. C'est alors qu'il me parut enfin évident qu'il serait sympa d'en fabriquer un pour une amie à laquelle je pense quand je pense calendrier de l'Avent !

  n° 2

I started my Christmas DIY workshop by the "not so ugly" Xmas sweaters.

I made some in felt with a blanket stitch in DMC 8 pearl cotton.

For the 2022 collection, I have selected new patterns : snowman, gloves, knitting, cat, gift ribbon, penguin and champagne.

Présentation de la collection Pulls de Noël 2022, avec de nouveaux décors : bonhomme de neige, gant, tricot, chat, noeud de cadeau, pingouin et champagne.

Maintenant devinez ce qu'il y avait au menu du jour ?

Alors, nous avons de la farine, du lait, du fromage, du beurre et des oeufs : jaunes et blancs en neige...

And now guess what is on the menu for lunch?

du soufflé au fromage, bien sûr, un de mes plats favoris !

on a bien ri et dédicacé celle-ci à DD1 et au don du sang

So many choices for DD3 on Arkestar stall (with a lot of laughs of DD1 the perfect design for her work in blood donation establishement).

Great to meet the artists and for this lovely pictures bought for DD2 a nice chat with Manon Mergnat.
