Publicity for STEMM in 60's with as figures the singers of the charts : as queens : Sylvie Vartan, France Gall, Françoise Hardy et Sheila !


En faisant quelques recherches d'illustrations, je suis tombée par hasard sur ce superbe article de chez "Le temps de broder" nous expliquant que la Bibliothèque Nationale de France possède cet étrange jeu de cartes à jouer toutes brodées.
Il s'appelle "le jeu de cartes florentin au portrait de Lorraine-Bourgogne sur satin broché et soie". Il date de 1730*1737. Il y a 48 cartes de 9.2 sur 5.7 cm.

This was my third "Tour de France" as always I had a lot of fun planning the trip, looking for informations, writing the clues and drawing/painting the characters for each post. And it was nice this time to look back to those toys we loved so much.

Mon projet pour 2019 a été, suivant l'exemple d'amies brodeuses, de choisir 19 travaux en cours (selon la liste ci-après) et de leur offrir une éventuelle bonne fortune cette année.

Participating again in this SAL since the beginning of 2019, I took as an example some stitching friends who planned a "19 in 19" projects.

Here is my list :

Special "felt" month, shown in the GG post as gifts for Soline, some Eskimo ice-cream and cone;

a chocolate roll, tartlets and meringue.

13 - Unexpected work on the goose game (thanks to the "people" who have chosen bees, I finished the wings with some blue/silver metallic thread.

12 - Dansons la Capucine -
I'm working on the pouch I want to sew for my granddaughter, preparing the inside sewing and adding a zip.

An extra work : 14/15/16 have to be placed on a big fabric panel with some embroideries

 I took the panel during the holidays to begin the four patterns

snowflakes, bells, pine branch, ornaments - crewel stitch, daisy stitch, feather stitch, chain stitch...

Pendant les vacances, j'ai choisi de broder le panneau de fond de "Quand Noël s'en mêle"
quatre motifs composés de boules de Noël, de branche de sapin, de cloches, de flocons. Points de chaînette, de tige, de bouclette, d'épine.

Question of the Month: What finishing style have you never tried but would love to do?

I'd love to stitch some small necklaces and some hair jewels.

I'm a great fan of goose games and visited the Museum in Rambouillet which is closed now.
80 different games were exposed part of the collection of 2.500 Pierre Dietsch gave to the town.

Le musée du jeu de l'oie est maintenant malheureusement fermé. La collection que Pierre Dietsch donna à la ville dort dans les réserves.

Inspired by history, geography, litterature, publicity, any theme which can goes in 63 squares...
