Here we are on the hunt for... dragonflies for the theme of June's You Choose.
A few beautiful specimens in the house, let me introduce them to you, from the smallest to the biggest...
The little charm will take place on the goose game on a flower to be defined.
This is now the oldest of our odonates, it was made when I was making necklaces and other things out of seed beads. Her neighbour in golden metal has just recently arrived at home, bought last September in Belgium for a future day perhaps to be assembled in a necklace. The small on the left side is a simple one in wood.
I realized that dragonflies can be linked to mythologie, to Japanese samurais and have a great place in fantaisy art,
So many lovely stitchings on the internet, I find this one "Jacobean dragonflies - Cross Stitch Wonders"
and this Steampunk dragonfly - clockwork dragonfly by Panna
My small pond often welcomes these charming insects, blue, red, green, golden, of all sizes and shapes,
and this is a nice way to remember there are two l in French libellule
These pretty dragonflies will one day land on a birthday card maybe,
in the meantime they present you the decorated papers where there friends
the unicorns can't wait to put some colors on the walls
of some set for Violette and Félix fabric dolls.
I'm not making a doll house but I want to try to "build" some cardboard walls :
bathroom, living room/office, kitchenette. If it works I'll show you my tests soon.
Jo adds a link to Grace's blog, "needles, pins and dragonflies"
me too because it's the blog I founded one day which opened the door for me
to a lot of new stitching friends home...
I noticed that since the beginning, our violet giant has intrigued you... well, it will serve you to spot your glass during a welcome cocktail!
See all those hands reaching out for a refreshment!
You have really excelled this time with so many beautiful things.
RépondreSupprimerThanks for taking part in The People's Choice this month. You always have something wonderful to share with us. I love those balancing dragonflies, such a fun idea for a summer drink in the garden.
RépondreSupprimerThe jewellery is so beautiful, I would happily wear any piece of that.
