It's Thursday -jeudi- the JJ day on the blog...
First I'm working on a repair.
The back of my JJ1 is now "in a cast", the cover have been glued again and I have put some stripes of medical tape!
I'm trying to paint it under the beads before I'll put the fabric cover.
Le dos de mon JJ couture 1 est maintenant "plâtré" avec du sparadrap et je vais essayer de le peindre en passant sous les perles.
I decided to open my Christmas JJ with an Advent Calendar and use it to keep the list of my favorite Christmas movies.
From 1 to 24, small folded in half decorated papers have been sewed.
Then I observed that it will be complicated to close it as the papers are moving with the pages.
I have double page of perforated tracing paper and I'll use it to block them on the left side and make it easier to close.
More information will be noted on the 25th Santa card I used for a small notebook.
To hide the knots I thought I could choose one design I don't like much and I'm sure I won't have any other project in mind for it.
This group of village houses for example... and then I got an idea...
Why not cut the outlines of the roofs as future pockets for pictures!
Like it! Funny to see how a simple finish can turn into a cute idea!
Mon JJ va s'ouvrir sur un calendrier de l'avent constitué de 24 petits livrets où je vais écrire les titres de mes films de Noël préférés. Ils sont simplement cousus et donc bougent avec les pages d'où la nécessité de bloquer le côté gauche avec un calque.
J'ai utilisé une carte de Noël d'une amie américaine pour créer un carnet pour la journée du 25 où je pourrai inscrire des infos supplémentaires.
Pour cacher les fils et les noeuds du dos de la chemise, il me suffisait de choisir un décor parmi ceux que j'aime le moins et pour lequel je savais que je n'aurai pas de projet spécifique comme ce groupe de maisons villageoises.
Mais le décor s'est révélé inspirant et j'en ai profité pour couper les contours des toits et ainsi créer des espaces dans lesquels je pourrai glisser des photos.
There will be some "winter" pages and I wanted to make some mittens seen on the net. I have cut two pairs and for the blue one I have crocheted in a white shiny wool a narrow strip ended by a small pompom for a nice finish.
The fully finish is to add a snowflaxe inside the folded mittens you can see when you open them.

Sur une page de paysages enneigés j'ai pu coudre une jolie décoration en bois peinte en forme de sapin.
J'ai également découpé cette main tenant un sac pour les emplettes de Noël.
