It's a long time I haven't work on an "old" WIP, so I choose 4/ the goose game to be in April Wipocalypse. The original chart is a free one, but I begun to change some patterns for some homemade linked to my own hobbies.
I'm working on 22 - Mona Lisa and 28-29 writing with a goose feather

and on ideas for 25 and 26, my first choice was vine leaves and grapes and four-leaf clover
I got a pattern from "les idées de marianne" crossstitch encyclopedia I adapted for my space

Then I looked for the vine leaves but the size scale didn't suit me, so what could I choose...
What about a friendly frog? I already have frogged so many times on this piece, she could become a reminder "stay focused"!

Les "anciens en-cours" n'ont pas trop la côte en ce moment, donc je me suis imposée de travailler ce mois-ci sur une pièce parmi les dix premières de la liste. J'ai choisi le jeu de l'oie, cases 22 et 28-29 : Mona Lisa et l'écriture à la plume d'oie. Puis travail sur le choix des motifs pour les cases 25 et 26, initialement prévu : feuilles de vigne et raisin / trèfle à quatre feuilles.
Le modèle a été légèrement réduit d'après l'encyclopédie du point de croix des Idées de Marianne pour entrer dans ma case. Mais l'échelle avec la vigne ne me plaisait pas donc les vendanges sont reportées à plus tard et après réflexion, pourquoi pas un gentil batracien ! Si seulement il pouvait me rappeler de rester concentrée sur le sens de la broderie !

Topic of the month is : Talk to us about your longest-running WIP or UFO.

I already showed it for the November You Choose post, it's Autumn from Le Bonheur des Dames.

Started many years ago, a purchase on a fair, too complicated for a beginner, first start on linen, first times for one on one thread points, a nightmare to put together all the charts on the fabric, most of the colors are tone-on-tone with the green fabric.

More a fight than pleasant moments of stitching, I put it in the basket. But now that I'm supposed to have more free times, I can take it back (it's number 5 on my WIP list) and stitch it peacefully with my magnifying glass/lamp.

Zazobouzi, les poupées/dolls  (gifts for Capucine and Soline)

The boy doll named Félix and Violette n° 2 (the one for my goddaughter's daughter) are waiting for padding.

Here is Félix and his pillow and duvet - Couette et oreiller chez Félix.

I'm back on making model dolls clothes to use my wool/fabric and have fun in creating clothes.

I had some white wool called "twisted "  and I remembered Mum made me kind of a puncho in a very special point : first you crochete then you weave it.

I wanted to try it so I made a square in double crochet then add red wool to make a shawl as it was successfull I decide to make a dress.

The second is made in vertical sens, you can use the last loop to close the back then you can do the bustier with half trebble in white,  at the end you only have to add the straps.












































Alphabet

The two first names of/for my grandchildren are finished.
It didn't work with the pinking chisels so I cut it in a simple way near the zigzag sewing.

J'ai abandonné l'idée de découper les bordures au ciseau cranté trop compliqué.

I have to do the all alphabet, next letters will be Y, S, V, E, L.   April score :   15/26
Then their Mum DD1 challenges me to do the letters to write her name too, as all my daughters got (due to their father) a double firstname, it will need 15 letters with 4 e, 3 l, 2 m-a-u, 1 r-n.

That means I'll be busy for many more GG post!

Très occupées par la fabrication de nouvelles lettres plus quelques doubles voire triple ma fille aînée m'ayant lancé le défi de pouvoir écrire son prénom composé !

Talking about alphabet of course brings me back to good memories of the Alphabet Club and to learm about what is a pangram : a phrase using the 26 letters of the alphabet :

(35 letters) : The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

Beaucoup de bon souvenirs me sont revenus liés aux articles de l'Alphabet Club et j'ai découvert à cette occasion ce qu'était un pangramme : une phrase contenant les 26 lettres de l'alphabet voici l'exemple que j'ai choisi pour illustrer ce petit complément d'information !

(32 lettres :   Juge, flambez l'exquis patchwork d'Yvon (merci à Thérèse Amiel, un pangramme contenant le mot patchwork c'est sympa pour un blog de brodeuse, on s'abstiendra de le flamber !).

JOYEUSES PAQUES

Nous voici en ce lundi de Pâques prêts à chercher les oeufs que les cloches auront dispersés dans le jardin.

Pas de cris de joie d'enfants à l'occasion de découvertes gourmandes cette année pour cause de confinement.


Here we are on this Easter Monday ready to look for the eggs that the bells back from Rome have dispersed in the garden.

Due to the confinement, no young children in the garden looking for chocolate.

On Friday, Jo offered us her famous "treasure hunt" and for this article I made a new bell with one of the coupons she gave me.

Last year, the pink coupon was chosen to make a "3D" four sides bell.

This year, I was inspired by a flat bell seen on the net, cut from the green coupon, with fleece and a lavender sachet, then completed with ribbons and flower buds.





Vendredi, Jo nous a proposé sa fameuse "chasse au trésor" et pour cet article j'ai confectionné une nouvelle cloche en tissu avec un des coupons qu'elle m'avait offert.

L'an passé, le coupon rose fût choisi pour réaliser une cloche "3D" à 4 faces.

Cette année, je me suis inspirée d'une cloche plate vu sur le net, coupée dans le coupon vert, garnie avec du molleton et un sachet de lavande, puis complétée de rubans et de boutons de fleurs.

My craftwork this year is the second part of "sewing bells" with some Easter fabric I received from Jo!

First, I was a little bit lost with the theme but Jo gave us some help, so here is my interpretation!

My "Village Quaker" should be right for this month post.   A modern look with the houses silhouettes.

Tout d'abord un peu déroutée par le thème "Modern Sampler" les conseils de Jo m'ont permis de participer à ma manière et selon une interprétation personnelle grâce à ce Village Quaker de chez Jardin Privé puis à certains motifs librement interprétés comme modernes.

let's use a shoehorn and see if some of my Christmas stitchings will suit :

What about modern language, this is written not in French slang

but of these days new grandparents favorite expressions.
