My "big" full finished piece this month is the wedding heart.
Everything begun with Clare from Aimetu stitching showing this lovely cross stitch in spring.
In May we were invited to a family reunion around the wedding of our cousin. In a "first" life she was married in 1994 and in this "second" life she married Nathalie in last October (a small civil wedding).
They organised a new ceremony to gather families and we were happy to share this joyful event. I immediatly thought how this pattern couldt fit and become a nice gift. Clare kindly sent it to me.
First thing to do, try to find a closer design to the real ceremony
I made mistakes forgotten to change the color of the little hearts in the garland to pink but it's ok. I added the surnames and the dates of the two ceremonies. And not knowing if they like this kind of stitching, only "framed" it with blue cardboard. So they could keep it in the memories box or frame it or sew it.
I know now that they love it and are thinking of making a cushion with it.
It's beautiful, perfect for the happy couple. Lovely photos
RépondreSupprimerThat's a very nice gift. I'm looking forward to seeing what kind of cushions they will make. I wish your cousin and partner happiness.💐
RépondreSupprimerYou did a wonderful job capturing the spirit of the ceremony! I love how you are always able to make projects your own.
