Second finish on a big piece I started in March 2017
It's a chart from Cuore e Batticuore named "Pattini d'argento"

which gives in English :   Christmas is... skating on ice... with you


Only two reds on the chart : 321 and 498, I chose to keep the 321 for hearts, ornaments, bird's hats and for the characters : 498 for the girl and 814 for the boy clothes, reversing colors for the scarves.

some changes in the title, I stitched 1 green thread and 1 silver.

Quelques modifications sur la grille de base, trois rouges pour donner plus de dégradés et un joli contraste, un mélange vert/argent pour le titre, pas de barbe pour notre patineur et un DMC diamant pour les arbres.

Fish, Bretagne "menu" : cider and pancakes, duck.


I remember how tempting was the duck fishing game, a great fun only possible when we went to the fair but now there is a lot of toys and DIY solutions too.

Very popular one when the girls where young.

The game I'm sewing for my grandchilds has now :  fishes, octopus, seahorses, shark, a mermaid, a treasure chest, fishnets.

The rules are simple : at the beginning of the game, values are given to each fish, some can be negative. Players can have some more points playing with a blind fold on, with the left hand (if you're right handed), on one foot, after turning on yourself many times or like the Captain with a hook.  The winner has the highest score.

Les règles du jeu s'étoffent autour de mes nouvelles créations : tous les poissons se voient attribuer une valeur en points qui peut être négative. Les joueurs peuvent obtenir des bonus en pêchant les yeux bandés, avec la main gauche, sur un pied, après plusieurs tours sur soi-même ou comme le Capitaine Crochet. Le gagnant a le meilleur score à la fin de la partie.

Well, I have so many stitchings which must find a "full finish" way...

Most of them are waiting for a frame, the shop I used to go is closed now and I have had some disappointments with DIY stores. Very ordinary frames, no original ideas and people who don't know to take mesurements.

For a Christmas tree I recently try to frame it myself with cardboard and fabric. It's okay for me and I will probably try again and improve my technic.

Here are some ideas I'd love to make too : wool frame,   hoop  (I have seen lovely ones on Ariadne's blog), cardboard, fabric with charms.


I think Geometry DMC fabric will be great
as a stitched frame too.

L'idée de recyclage est présente également, mes quatre travaux en attente, j'espère pouvoir bientôt leur donner une belle finition.
