GIFTED GORGEOUSNESS 06/19

Mid-June already, time to update the Gifted Gorgeousness post;

GG SAL is hosted by Jo from Serendipitous Stitching :

What is most important in June... 3 years old grand daughter birthday!

A party to prepare and a theme DD1 gave me : unicorns.

So many lovely ideas on the net. I have tried some

A small one made in white felt and wool you can use as a pencil topper for example.

Here are the links to the tutos :

A l'occasion des trois ans de Capucine, le thème "licorne" fût abordé pour la fête et est donc l'objet de mes recherches récentes. De multiples photos sur internet et des tutos très utiles pour ces décorations. Feutrine, laine angora et tissu doré vont habiller cette silhouette découpée dans un vieux calendrier.

The second one made in an old calendar is a decoration, good way to use angora wool

I just begun a (horse) unicorn stick, I have cut in an old cream color skirt the pattern of the cardboard licorne and I'm making a band with wool for the mane. I had in my stash (Mum's one) a pink wool "caterpillar"  which is nice for unicorn "hair" I added some white wool and attached groups of 6 strands rose/2 white on a thin strip of fabric.

I put the band of fabric between the 2 pieces of fabric of the head and the ears too.
I'm working on the corn :  plastic cone covered with gold fabric and the eyes still in progress.

We have an expression : have ants in our fingers
and I felt this about wool (knitting, crochet ...) for a long time.

No times enough to do some big jacket or pullover but what about small ones.
Who can wear small pullover, Barbie doll of course. I dream of sewing some gorgeous dresses for dolls but it can't be now, already thousand of projects in my head and a lot of stitching WIP.

But touching wool (as fabric) has for me a therapeutical benefit : doctor's order (as big players can get banned from casinos, I could get banned from wool/fabric stores).

Here we are talking about using part of Mum's wool stock. No purchase and a good way to start the tidiyng up of girl's toys in the attic.

Sticka till Barbie is a great place for Barbie wardrobe (they got an "ABBA" chapter!)

Why not try some new knitting pattern as it's small.
I'd like to make a skirt and a jacket, kind of wool suit.

and I plan to take some knitting during the car travel to Bretagne next Sunday (holidays are coming!).

Maybe a little puncho won't be too difficult using nice stitches maybe something like that...

Knowing me, knowing you, there is so much we can do!
