Point de croix / Cross stitching

I'm focusing on the botton of the pattern of my unicorn, as my eyes are ok with stitching dark blue on dark purple!

Côté point de croix, mes yeux sont sympas avec moi en ce moment, j'en ai donc profité pour broder du bleu foncé sur du violet foncé !

Couture / sewing

To close the laundry bag I'm making, I needed two tassel pompoms

Confection de deux pompons glands pour la fermeture du sac à linge de voyage que je couds en ce moment.

Cartonnage / craft

I'm using coffee to make envelope and page in the HP tunnel book look older. 

and I'm trying  wax / glue  seals  with coins and stamp.

J'ai bien avancé sur mon tunnel book, quelques finitions avec du café pour vieillir page et enveloppe. Et des essais de fabrication de sceaux en cire et colle chaude avec des tampon et pièces de monnaie.

October Topic : How do you begin planning for the next year with your stitching? Tell us your process.

My stitching year is different since my retirement, my crafts are linked to family/friends birthdays, so many old WIP's for a full finished wish list and a big early Christmas season. But I'm struggling too with all the tempting new things seen on the net ; don't forget that 2024 will be a Wipolympic year!

Ces dernières années, depuis ma retraite, mes bricolages sont liés à l'agenda des anniversaires chez les amis et dans la famille, les anciens en cours assez nombreux pour espérer quelques jolies finitions et la saison de Noël commence de bonne heure ! Je dois composer également avec toutes ces tentations vues sur la toile ; n'oublions pas non plus que 2024 sera une année Wipolympique !

I started my Christmas DIY workshop with the "not so ugly" Xmas sweaters.

I cut some in white, blue and green felt.

For the 2023 collection, I wanted to do again old patterns : 

snowman, gloves, knitting, cat, gift ribbon and champagne.

and try new ideas like cookie, turkey, snowflake, snowglobe ideally if can made them less than 3cm!

Sur le table de mon atelier de Noël, voici les premiers dessins pour la nouvelle collection des pulls "pas si moches". Reprise du modèle noeud de cadeau violet, une botte rouge attendant d'être remplie, un cactus de fête, un cookie souriant et une boule de noël.

First, back to drawings to think about my new "collection" with a red boot, a cactus, a smiling cookie, hands, turkey and a snow ball.

I don't know yet what I'll put in the hands maybe a star -any ideas?- in front of the pullover, what I'll put in the tiny red boot but I know what I'll stitch in the snow ball! The ball was so small I knew I needed a tiny pattern under some snowflaxes.

What do you think about the Eiffel tower in a snowball.

I only made again the gift bow because I have such fun with the new ideas that I can't wait to try them. The cookie was easier.

Très impatiente de mettre au point de nouveaux modèles, je n'ai pu résister longtemps et ai seulement refait le noeud mauve d'après les réalisations de l'an passé. Ensuite retour aux crayons pour quelques dessins pour m'aider à trouver la bonne échelle et faire tenir dans ce petit pull toutes mes idées farfelues.

Une botte de Noël, un cactus, une branche de sapin, un cookie, un dindon et enfin une boule à neige.

Côté cuisine me vint l'idée d'un homard, DD3 a cru qu'il s'agissait d'un renne ! J'hésite à lui ajouter une guirlande, qu'en pensez-vous ?

Then I thought a lobster could be fun, DD3 first thought it was a reindeer (I have already made them in 2020)

Do you think I must add a garland of beads or tiny stars?

Am I the only one to see a lobster? 

I could add a red belt!

I hope I'll be able to sew a dragon or a dinosaur, could be fun!

Avant l'avent, un premier décompte des jours désormais partagés entre les encours et la fabrication des décos de Noël. Cet article va présenter mon programme de bricolages en feutrine, couture, dessin, peinture et broderie et il sera suivi régulièrement de points de suivi de projets !

Depuis trois ans je fabrique avec grand plaisir

une collection de "pulls de Noël pas si moches", mini sweat en feutrine

Voici les modèles des collections 2020 / 2021 / 2022

En vrac quelques idées anciennes à refaire :

guirlande, moufles, champagne, noeud cadeau

et de nouvelles à tester si le format d'environ 3cm/3cm s'y prête :

flocon, botte de Noël, boule à neige, cookie, cactus, houx

branche de pin, dindon, bougie, tasse, homard, glaces...

Here are a few old ideas to make again : 
garland, mittens, champagne, gift bow

and some new ones to try (if I find a way to put them into 3cm/3cm)  :
snowflake, Christmas boot, snow globe, cookie, cactus, holly,

pine branch, turkey, candle, mug, lobster, ice cream...

MAISON SAJOU

 

La maison Sajou est bien connue ici dans le petit monde des brodeuses et cela depuis la deuxième moitié du XIXème siècle.

Après avoir longtemps été rue du Caire dans le 2ème arrondissement de Paris plus un stand au magasin du Bon Marché, ils sont maintenant installés à Versailles près du château.

Vous pouvez les trouver sur Facebook et voir toutes ces clientes en visite de tous les coins du monde.

Sajou is well known to embroiderers, the shop in Paris is now closed but they have moved in Versailles near the castle. (Can't wait to see it)

Visit the Facebook page and see all those amazing haberdashery supplies. Lot to see on You Tube too. In October, Nicole went to Japan for a French Fair in Tokyo.

Il va sans dire que je suis autant impatiente de visiter la boutique que le château !

Début octobre, Nicole s'est envolée pour le Japon pour animer un stand français pour les 350 ans du magasin Mitsukoshi à Tokyo.

et le rêve ultime à Tokyo dans le quartier de Nippori, une rue entière dédiée à la mercerie avec une centaine de magasins de fournitures
